The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Theoretically, it's a better roster than last year which had a lot of us pretty excited. We've got better depth now with proven experienced veterans and a solid rookie class. I'm still not sold on our LB depth though. There ...

I'm still not sold on our LB depth though. There will be valuable cuts after training camp for our scouts to sift through to fill those back up roles.

I could understand your concern about LB depth if we were primarily in a 3-4, but given Allen runs a 4-2 over 80% of the time and we have eleven LB's in camp I'm confused about the depth concerns. I know they are really high on D'Marco Jackson and Anfernee Orji. I know they paid up to sign Orji as a UDFA. I believe Andrew Dowell showed promise last year, as well. We usually only keep six LB's on the roster, covering special teams and base defense.

I'm getting the feeling they feel they have the depth covered with who they added and who is returning already. I haven't really heard that much from their end about LB being a big concern.
