Let's get the full story after the trial when all the facts are out in public. Nonetheless, I believe that Kamara was justified in punching the dude a couple of times. I probably would have hit him a couple of more times to ensure that he got my message but I would stop short of curb stomping him. It's hard to believe that someone could piss of mild mannered AK that much.

Mostly it doesn’t matter if he is mother theresa or the son of sam. He is an aging running back with declining stats and injuries behind an aging and injured oline. Every once in a blue moon you get an adrian peterson or emmitt smith but for every one of them there are a dozen runners with short careers. In general, your not looking for maturity in a running back, your looking for youth, and if you think a running back has a couple good years left, what you want is an exit strategy if you overestimated by a couple years.

It matters to me. Hence my post about not looking at him the same way. I like pulling for individuals of hi moral fiber. Maybe that’s lost in today’s society

Then you are pulling for one individual in history, my friend. We all have done things that we regret. I'd be willing to bet that some here have done worse than young Alvin in their lives. What's lost in society is recognizing the fact that we as humans do wrong and need to be striving to overcome those transgressions.

Oh, I've done worse but it was not caught on tape. Thank god! I was a bad boy.

They didn't even have tape way back then. Just black & white silent film with piano accompaniment.

The Saints o-line is fine for AK's running style. The problem with AK is those legs get banged up and it limits the explosiveness of a guy who's game is about balance, moves, and quickness.

Re: Trade kamara

Do y'all know the main difference between the great offensive lines of the dominant Saints offenses of a decade or so ago and what we have today? Two years of unprecedented injuries and development retarded by a pandemic. Those earlier lines played virtually every snap of every game as a unit. Their supposed depth never saw the field beyond coming in as an extra eligible lineman. All five of our projected starters are 1st round selections. If they can stay on the field together there's no reason why they can't be one of the most elite lines in the league.

During the season we have traditionally kept eight offensive lineman on the 53 man roster over the years. You can easily see our depth charts as of the first day of every month going back to June of 2007 at Ourlads.com. Our potential depth this year is not really inferior to that of most any other year. Sure, we had Strief, but we also had Matt Tennant and Pat McQuistan the rest of the depth. I would argue that James Hurst, Billy Price, and the rookie Saldiveri are just as good as what we had back then.

Continuity is essential on the O-line.
We keep forgetting that Covid hampered us...well, that and running from hurricanes.

Penning knows the playbook and system now. When his foot is healed he should seamlessly be able to step into LT allowing Hurst to slide over to LG. That leaves Landon Young, Calvin Throckmorton, Andrus Peat, Lewis Kidd, Nick Saldiveri, Storm Norton, and Billy Price battling for the three or four back up spots.

If the players are a year older and they are healthy then I can live with that. Our mid round draft pick was the first player chosen when the run on O-linemen started. The fourth round has produced some really good O-linemen in the past.
