The resulting misdemeanor was even a lessor charge than the original conspiracy to commit battery charge. It was basically disturbing the peace. There's now a chance he may not even get any suspension.

The legal experts I've been following were 100% right about the felony charge being thrown out in Kamara's case.

I'd be shocked if any suspension would be greater than one or two games now with the inconsequential final charge. That's if there's any suspension at all.

That, of course, helps in the civil matter, but on the criminal side it doesn't swing much weight. Given Kamara was the least aggressive of the four guys involved the state didn't have much chance of pressing on with the original charges in his case. A couple of the other dudes may have a steeper hill to climb, however.

I was thinking he gives him a 4 game suspension that he lowers to 2 after appeal... so he can appear to be a nice guy.

He’s not facing criminal charges because he gave the other guy a boatload of money and is agreeing to pay over $100,000 of medical bills.

I’m not going to pretend he did nothing wrong. He’s just rich. Must be nice.

If it was me I’d have already been rotting in a jail cell.

And the league will still suspend him.

Kamara in that moment was an idiot for allowing that man to rile him up that much that he jumped in, but it bugs me how some drunk clown is being rewarded for being an instigator. I guess if you ever see a celebrity, be as big of an agitator ***** as possible to them and hope them and their posse comes out swinging. Then, profit.

AK gotta be smarter than that, don't give trash like that what they're looking for.

The original story coming out was that this guy was being obnoxious all night long then forced his way into the elevator and touched a female in the group. He was asking for it and he got it. He got his ass kicked and then he got famous and rich. Heck, there will probably be a book and movie deal for the SOB. Maybe nice guys do finish last.

Yeah exactly. Like AK has to just let his posse handle it and not get involved, not worth it. But it just annoys me that the obnoxious dude got EXACTLY what he wanted out of that evening. Like what's the message here...

My guess is 4 game suspension, but we'll see. At least Saints are set to handle it, with Williams/Miller.

He actually did basically let his posse handle it. The video shows he landed some punches but was not involved in the stomping and kicking. That was on a couple of the other guys. Probably a major reason why the battery charges were all dropped in his case.

That's right. The video shows AK shoving the a$$hole out of the elevator, down on the ground and having a good ground and pound. :p He punched him several times then stopped. That was when his posse stepped in. Personally, I would have done worse to the jerk. But, I am old school....when we used to settle things differently. Everything is so litigious now.

I'm of the opinion that if he asked for it then you should give it to him.

No, I didn't doubt you had actually seen any video at the time, I knew you hadn't seen any video at the time. It was common knowledge that video existed, but it was never made public in any form until months after your declaration.

I think I've said this before, but after 56+ years of being a fan the Saints are like family to me. I can't fathom hating a player on the team for any reason any more than I could imagine hating a member of my family. I'm simply not a hater. But, we all know what the say about haters ...

As for making Saints fans look bad, then I suppose the vast majority of saints fans make us all look bad. I go to the games. Every game this season the Kamara jerseys out numbered all other player jerseys by a large margin on the streets and in the stands. Sorry, but he's a good kid that made one small mistake that was mainly hanging with the wrong sorts. I know you said you were an ordained minister. Perhaps you remember this verse:

No, it doesn’t make me feel better having a guy who assaulted someone and put them in the hospital on the team. Don’t know why it pleases you. As far as telling me what I’ve seen it’s just another lie you’ve told about me. That video WAS shown in the immediate aftermath and I could produce witnesses if this were a court. But it’s not and you aren’t worth it. The fact that you deny there is a difference in our judicial system between wealthy and regular individuals says a lot. The fact that you cite the Bible to enforce your beliefs says more. But sure… Jesus and his posse would’ve beaten the **** out of some guy for disrespecting him at some elevator lobby as well according to your logic.

I remember seeing the video right after the incident happened as well, Boston. I couldn't find it soon after, probably because AK's attorneys moved swiftly to have it taken down, but it was there. A$$clownumguido can bury his head in the sand all he likes, doesn't make it any less true. I loooove how he constantly preached at people about how their opinions don't equal facts, but he's entirely convinced that all his opinions are fact.

You couldn't find it because it didn't exist out there yet. The video was never shared prior to its introduction months later. No lawyer could "take down" any video that hit the web. The internet doesn't work that way. It would have been copied and shared 100's of times in a manner of minutes.

There was a video of another confrontation involving another NFL player throwing down a girl and kicking her in a hotel hallway with several people around that was out there. If, and this is a big IF, you actually did see a video as you claim perhaps it was that one that got you confused.
