What Went Right & What Went Wrong
Right- Derek Carr was money. #53 looked good & flashed everywhere. Bad play calling by KC when they were winning and gave us the game. Haener throwing a laser first down.
Wrong- not much after the first stringers. Twenty four unanswered points. The backups missed a lot of tackles today and we gave up too many yards after first contact. Busted coverage giving up big plays. Haener threw his first interception. |

Re: What Went Right & What Went Wrong
The usual suspects looked sharp ...
DCarr, AK, JuwanJ & the rookie A.T. Perry (6/6 targets). Not sure what Jeff Duncan was talking about but Payton Turner looked solid & same could be said for Granderson. Still kinda concerned about the depth at RB & the O line. Looking forward to those joint practices with the Chargers in a week or so. I think Breesse is gonna be a major disrupter in a year or two. Isaiah Foskey was MIA today. Looks slow. But hey, it's only pre season game #1. |

Re: What Went Right & What Went Wrong
Was a little disappointed about how Isiah Foskey looked.
On his college tape, he jumped off the screen with his get off and ability to get to the QB. I've just gone back and watched the snaps he was in for and he was really lackluster. Not setting the edge on outside runs, played VERY slow, zero pass rush moves besides trying to get around the outside. Hoping he can pick it up, but other guys really showed more than he did. |

Bad… general run blocking; not a lot of holes. Not impressed with Blake G as he shanked one. Quite a few penalties in general. Edit…I forgot about 2 takeaways! Didn’t get enough of those last year ! |
