What Went Right & What Went Wrong

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Looks like it's nothing major with Kendre Miller and he should be back for the season opener. We can still use a camp body at RB for the final two games, however. Twitter...

I said to my wife that the way they kept attempting to run him up the gut, only for a lineman to whiff a block every time would end up getting him injured.

We seriously lack depth at pretty much every position
Is this sarcasm? If so my detector is not working right now.

No defense is ever easily top 5. Whether we were top 5 last year depends on which common metric you pick. We were 9th in points allowed, 6th in yards allowed, 5th in yards per play allowed, 31st in takeaways, and 32nd in drives ended by turnover. Overall we were not a top 5 defense last year. But even a top 5 defense has a very hard time repeating as a top 5 defense the next year, most don't.

Gotta do better here. And you're right, we were NOT a top 5 defense last year. Some people just like to sugarcoat s***.

Takeaways.

We were only better than the LV Raiders in this dept for 2022.
