FYI

Players placed on IR prior to the cutdown cannot return at all. Players placed on IR after the cutdown are eligible to return during the season. But they must be on the 53 man roster at 4:00 today.

With some veterans, especially ones with an injury history, i wonder if the calculation could be to release them and then add back to avoid guaranteeing full years salary. This could also pair with some surprise moves to stash players on IR to make room.

Peat might also be a surprise IR candidate. He played his average number of snaps between injuries Sunday and he missed the other two preseason games.
