I am a fan of my Saints. I will always wish for a win anytime they take the field. There is no guarantee of anything in the future. The next coach, or the one after that, or even the next are not assured of being the path to a future Super Bowl.

In no way does a playoff berth extend anything other than an additional game, at least, for the dedicated fans of our Saints to attend another game and support the team that we love.

I'm sorry, but no part of me accepts the desire for my Saints to lose any game. To me those that feel that way are no different than a lowly Falcons' or Bucs' fan. Once again, I'm sorry if any of you have an issue with that, but that is just how I feel. And I assure you that I am not alone in that. I refuse to take any pleasure from my beloved team losing any game. Never.

I don't care anything about those that feel differently. That's on them.

This team is awesome.
Keep doing what you're doing.
I'll give this franchise my money no matter what.

Nope. This team has many faults, mainly the coaching. Changes are definitely needed. And what I choose to do with my money is none of anyone else's business.

Wrong. Your money is Saints Mismanagement’s business. Literally.

Re: Observation from the Saints' Playoff Chances with Four Games Left

To honestly look at the Saints chances at this point we need to include the games remaining for the other two teams in the race.

Saints

vs Giants
@ Rams
@ Bucs
vs Falcons

Bucs

@ Packers
vs Jags
vs Saints
@ Panthers

Falcons

@ Panthers
vs Colts
@ Bears
@ Saints

I don't see either TB or Atlanta making it through the final four games without at least one loss. Two losses each appears to be very possible.

To honestly look at the Saints’ chances at this point, with all the ridiculous hypothetical scenarios which at best, would result in the painful continuation of a sub-mediocre product being sustained, is to lose sight of the fact that the rest of us are DEMANDING that this team rebuild and restore the satisfaction to the fans who EXPECT to see a WINNING (or at least, a highly competitive) FORMULA on the field.

FOCUS.

I don't think a rebuild is necessary. A targeted re-tooling may be a better option. We have some really good players on this team. Very few holes in my opinion, however one big hole is QB.

I'm also interested to see how Carr would do under a different OC.

Add some speed to the front 7 (especially LB), and a quality free-agent O-lineman and we'll be set to draft BPA when draft time comes.

Rebuild the coaching staff? Hell yeah!

Add more talent to the roster. No need to rebuild.

Y’all can keep talking about bandaids over gunshot wounds all you like. Watch what happens, or more importantly, what doesn’t happen. Gonna be a long while…
