Observation from the Saints' Playoff Chances with Four Games Left
3 of the 4 are at home, one in L.A.
Two are division rivals. IF... and that's a really big IF, we win four straight, our record is 10-7 . It would be DA's first ever winning season. Many Saints fans would commit hari-kari. DC4's first playoff, maybe. We'd get wiped out in the first game. Would it be worth it? | |

It’s a slow Hari-Kari for most fans already.

Re: Observation from the Saints' Playoff Chances with Four Games Left
I would hope any win is a good thing to a loyal fan. The point of the game is to win.
That said, we have a very winnable game next week versus the Giants. We should be getting Taysom back for that one and possibly Shaheed. If I'm not mistaken, both Michael Thomas and Lattimore should be eligible to return the following week to face the Rams. A win there would put us in the driver's seat with a game remaining against both the Bucs and Falcons. We are better than both those squads and could be as healthy as we've been all season entering that final stretch. As things currently stand the Eagles would have the #5 seed and would visit the Saints. The Eagles are not the juggernaut as many had christened them and can be beat. |

For the dreamers among us:
New Orleans Saints What If? Control our own destiny, which is what any team wants and this team can't stand to do. Figure they will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and miss out by 1 game. |

Re: Observation from the Saints' Playoff Chances with Four Games Left
What is consistent about Dennis Allen is his inconsistency. Our most likely result is probably to finish 8-9. All the teams we play have very similar ability and QB talent to us. We could easily win the division at 8-9 or 9-8. 10-7 is very unlikely, it would go against everything Dennis Allen has proven his entire coaching career, that results may vary.
If we win the division we will face either the Cowboys or Eagles in the playoffs. Guido can root all he wants but unless their QB goes down that game is going to look a lot like prime Ali vs Frasier (from Cheers). And then we will have one of the hardest schedules in 2024 and lose at least 11 games. |
