I also just read that if Tomlin becomes available Chicago will be willing to do whatever it takes to get him. That price could be way up there. Few people have the liquid capital that Gayle Benson enjoys. Even other NFL owners.

Youth is key here. It’s clear to see that Masters like Belichick or Tomlin have periods where everything clicks and they themselves have a fire, then it fades or passes. Unfortunately, our current excuse has neither fire or youth or any special presence at all, so these more legendary old cats might seem attractive, but we need something completely new.
