this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Mike Tomlin out here making his 3rd string QB look a competent players. He'd have better options than this Saints situation if he moves on...

Re: Mike Tomlin as new Saints HC
He’s lost his touch. I’d be a hard pass.

Yes, we need a fresh perspective. Young or old is less relevant as someone with a "system" that challenges other teams and puts them on their heels.
What this franchise is currently running is Sean Payton's system without it's two most critical pieces. Mistake in strategy, mistake in tactics. Time for a new approach. |

A first time HC from the offensive side of the ball would be my preference, and if he had the intensity of Tomlin - I wouldn't complain.

Re: Mike Tomlin as new Saints HC
The Saints have been running a stale game plan for years. Out with the old and in with the new. Get some young blood in the building that doesn't need to rely on has been tactics.

Re: Mike Tomlin as new Saints HC
So all the fans seem to have it figured out, but Beloved Gayle either doesn’t or won’t “get it”. This downward spiral has been a long time in the making, and Loomis getting a game ball for beating a weak @ss team, shows that our Ownership and Management are either clueless or uninterested in our current condition as a football team. We (the fans) are in for a rough ride for some time to come. Unfortunately. The only thing I can recommend is a total boycott of the merch, and the dome, to send a message from the unsatisfied customer, to the “Boss”… the product is @ss.
Now, once again, we can watch other teams confidently and competently advance into the Playoffs through our Holiday Season. DEMDAT. |

If he had hired a competent HC after Payton left, then this could have been done much sooner.
