Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
We've committed over 45 million dollars to the quarterback position this season.
We signed Williams who we don't use. We drafted Miller who has been a waste of a draft pick. This game was a lot uglier than the final score. The problems have always started at the top. I think it’s pretty much a given both Allen and Carmichael are living on borrowed time. But can we really trust the front office to make the right hires? 2009 was a long time ago. The time for a fresh start all the way around has been overdue for quite a few years now. |

I noticed that Dennis benched Alontae Taylor last night. Sean McVay/Highland Park was picking on him quite a bit but was he performing that poorly? My concern is that once you lose confidence as a young DB, it's over. Your thoughts? |

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
I had concerns about Taylor in the slot from the moment I started hearing he was working there. Slot corner is a completely different world. I wouldn’t say he’s done though. A benching can make you or break you depending on your personality. We won’t know that until next year though. There’s nothing he can do at this very moment to get where he needs to be as a player.

He always seems to battle and contest passes, and he's played in the slot at times. Maybe that's the way forward. Alontae has struggled for a while, it was just very noticeable Vs the Rams. He is quite frankly awful at tackling. PJ Williams wasn't great, but he was a good tackling corner. |
