Facts.

Joe was sitting on the couch 4 weeks ago and is playing
better football 🏈 than Carrmaxx.

More importantly he’s winning games.

Re: Ramczyk’s Future In Doubt

Ramz almost didn't play but for being drafted in the first round, if my recollection is accurate. Maybe the move inside is what will allow him to play out the last three years of his contract. Move Pennington to RT and draft the best LT in the draft. Since we're thin at competent guards, plugging him in there should be a boost, even with a bum knee. Popeyes Sammich Peat should be a goner in 2024. Hope he gets some good news from his doctors.

If there is a lot of cartilage damage microfracture surgery is probably the way to go. Maybe some stem cell treatments could help too.

Big damage to cartilage is a rought thing to fix still. It might get good enough to give you good quality of life but not neccesarily be good enough to hold up for professional sports.

I have had microfracture surgery myself with great results but from the article it seems like my injured cartilage was a much smaller patch than what Ramczyk is dealing with.

The guys knee has been shot for a couple of years. There is no fixing that. You can delay it some more maybe. But his play is already steadily declining. He'll probably be cleared to play again next year with similar results. Unfortunately, rest days and missing game time is his recent bio. I love the guy and I am proud that he's been so good for us. Nonetheless, we have to invest heavily in the Oline in 2024.

The NFL is a copy cat league and the Saints need to be copying off of teams that are having real success.

See the Detroit Lions offensive line & coaches.

Jamal Williams (he has done next to nothing in New Orleans) had 23 rushing TDs last season, now with him gone the Lions have 24 rushing TDs.

Again, coaching is bad in New Orleans. Doug Marrone needs to be apart of that black Monday crowd in about 10 days. Nick Saban could only stomach one season with him down in Alabama.

End rant

Maybe.....just maybe Penning will be able to move to right tackle next year and be a good replacement.

Or maybe we will pick up Tim Boyle as our new starting QB and he will throw 5000 yards and 50 td passes.

Its not impossible Penning will improve, but the the guy has been a bust so far, and its not a winning formula to depend on busts as Plan A. When you mention something first its plan A. I would say that we can draft tackles in round 1 and 2, Peat who is servicable on the left side could return if he is willing to sign for like $5 million, and if all those options fail Penning could compete with another teams bust tackle pick for a roster spot and perhaps get the job if he improves and nothing else pans out. But I wouldn't be penning my hopes on him so to speak.
