Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft
With what? Chances are they'll not be as good. Have you taken a very close look at the state of NFL offensive linemen across the league today? Peat would be starting on most NFL teams today. We got spoiled on Nicks and Evans. We're getting spoiled on Ruiz today. We especially got spoiled on Brees who had a way of making every offensive lineman look better than they were.
That said, by all means, we need to keep trying to get lucky on the position through the draft. Free agents at those positions are usually players that have already failed with other teams or aging veterans a few years past their prime. Anyone we draft will likely take a few years to develop. With college offenses being what they are today (shotgun, spread, etc.) very few linemen have the chance to enter the NFL anywhere near ready. |

Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft
I just mentioned this in another thread, but it goes better here, if the chance arises I would love to see us select LB Payton Wilson out of NCSU, the winner of this year's Chuck Bednarik award as the nation's best defensive player. Demario may only have three or four more years before he decides to hang them up and Wilson is the type of player that could take over those duties as a leader.

OT Kingsley Suamataia, BYU Day 2 big ugly ... Has experience playing on the left and right. Potentially a Day 1 starter. At this point, you can't go into the off season assuming Ramz will return. Kingsley has been a high riser on the draft boards. |

Re: Way too early 2024 mock draft
I'm going back to Bama here ...
JC Latham (OT) With the uncertainty (degerative knee condition) of Ryan Ramz, gotta look to the future at RT. JC had ZERO sacks in 13 starts at right tackle. Above average in pass protection. For a big guy, he has good quickness and agility. His overall run blocking stats aren't too shabby either. Projection - Day 1 starter and contributor at the next level. |
