Re: Nick Underhill expects the Saints to hire a new offensive coordinator in 2024
I think he’s playing chess. There could potentially be 3 big time jobs up for grab next season as well as the Saints. Cowboys, Eagles, and Bills could open up. He’s suppose to be a very loyal guy as well so he can afford to wait. That big payday is coming.

Oh man, I think it's going to be Getsy. He has nothing to lose coming here. Slowik will probably be a hot commodity next off season and Johnson can just wait and get promoted to OC there.
I have no idea how to judge Getsy. Were their deficincies on offense a Justin Fields problem or Getsy issue? They did do a good job at getting DJ Moore the football which bodes well for Olave. He gets their TE involved in the offense and likes to use the RB in the passing game as well. |

Getsy's a mixed bag. Like that he spent time with LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers in that dynamic offense. And Fields is quite erratic so I don't know how much of Fields' shortcomings I blame on Getsy. Still, hiring a guy that just got fired at the position is a gut check.
