I hope Kubiak is an upgrade but honestly nobody knows. His 2022 Denver offense was worse than the Saints offense that year. He was an assistant in San Francisco. Carmichael was never a problem until Dennis Allen came in, and the wheels fell off when Dennis Allen brought in his hand picked QB, now Dennis Allen is bringing in his hand picked offensive assistant. Forgive me for not taking for granted Dennis Allen's great judgement of character. I think its honestly quite possible that Carmichael is a better OC than DA is a head coach or Derek Carr is a QB. Only one has a ring in such a role.
There need to be no excuses for DA and Carr this year. Carr can have the first quarter of week 1 to adjust to the new system and then he needs to earn his veteran money and produce. Rookie coaches and rookie QBs are out producing these guys. No more excuses!

First of all, no team is going to go undefeated. I know that as well as anyone else. I've always thought the whole exercise of "predicting a record" was foolishness, therefore I have always (for decades) gave the foolish prediction of whatever is required to go undefeated through the Super Bowl. Anyone that can't understand that has a few screws loose.
Secondly, we all know that Carmichael was NEVER the Saints offensive coordinator in anything other than title. He was in the room while Payton and Brees were drawing up plays, but we all know rarely actually called those plays in his 14 years and when he did he had Brees there to audible to something that would work.
