The core of their roster — Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara, Cameron Jordan, Demario Davis, Tyrann Mathieu — is ancient by NFL standards. Star right tackle Ryan Ramczyk may need to retire for medical reasons. The vibes here just don't seem great.”

Saints need TWO tackles this off season. Ramz definitely needs to retire.

DA says Ramcyzk's knee could be a concern going into the season

They really need Three Tackles if we want decent depth in the trenches.

FYI, today (5/2) is the deadline to exercise the fifth year options on rookie contracts of their first round picks.

He’ll probably get double digit sacks for Tampa next season.

Between the two they drafted and what shakes out with the UDFAs and young vets, we might be better than at first surmised. We'll see as we go forward.

I feel better about the O line than I did last year. That's not saying much but we 've brought in several new faces and sometimes change is the catalyst to better line play. That, and good coaching on the offense could do wonders for the whole team.

Re: Off-season plan

This cautious offseason approach by the front office must be driving them nuts. We all known that they love making risky moves and this methodical approach doesn't really get the fans adrenaline flowing. Training camp is in California so there won't be much time for the fans to interact with the players. Klint Kubiak brings a fresh face to the organization who is bringing a new offense to New Orleans. On the down side. Dennis Allen is still our HC.
