There are quality starters out there @ G, DE, & tackle.

But yeah I know, the Mickster never trades down.
We should trade down most years, IMHO. Our trade ups have rarely been justifiable.

Its a deep draft for O-linemen.

I think we should use a high pick on a pass rusher if available, then 2nd-4th rounds for O-linemen and D-linemen and LB with speed.

Agreed.

Remember back in that final season ending exit interview Loomis basically saying he likes their position but if they need to "move up" they will?

Trade back, acquire more talent. We need it.

Yeah, it's time to change the philosophy for the 2024 draft.

It simply doesn't match their philosophy. Loomis has stated that they would rather go and get someone they specifically want over waiting to see who's there later. Let's just see how Ireland and his gang does this year. We all know Loomis isn't the one doing the player evaluations.

As GENERAL MANAGER, what is it that he manages, generally?

You're right, its Ireland's staff that ranks the college players. Loomis just pulls the trigger based on their board.

Parenton is the pro personnel director, I'd imagine he rates the NFL free agents

Loomis ain't at college games scouting players for us.

The staff...

Player Personnel

Jeff Ireland VP/Assistant General Manager - College Personnel
Michael Parenton Director of Pro Personnel
Ryan Powell Pro Scout
Justin Matthews Pro Scout
Tosan Eyetsemitan Pro Scout
Mike Baugh National Scout
Terry Wooden National Scout
Mike DiJulio Area Scout
Jon Sandusky Area Scout
Casey Talley Area Scout
Joey Vitt, Jr. Area Scout
Paul Zimmer Area Scout
C.J. Leak Area Scout
Matt Phillips Area Scout
Scott Campbell Senior College Scouting Analyst
Will Martinez Combine Scout
Ziad Qubti College Scouting Coordinator
