Re: Official 2024 General Off-Season News

Well, it doesn't look like Peat's moving on to the Raiders had anything to do with money. A one year deal at $2M with only $450K guaranteed is chump change. I wonder if the total disrespect that he received from some of the fan base had anything to do with it?

What?! You really think that Peat had his feelings hurt by a few fans and decided that he couldn't bear it any longer?
You're silly but this is some of the silliest stuff you've posted.

My guess is Peat got tired of Sammiches and wanted to check out them all-you-can-eat buffets on the Strip.

Wish I could hurt Divine Lady Gayle’s feelings like that.

You never know. It certainly wasn't the money. It most certainly could have been a factor. And it wasn't only a few fans. There were bloggers out there posting all kinds of derogatory crap. Social media can be brutal. I've heard many an athlete talk about the presence of or the lack of respect in the community and its affect, be it positive or negative. Believe it or not players are not totally void of feelings.

All others things being equal I can't see it not being in his mind. It most certainly would be in most of ours.

I thought you said (repeatedly) that nothing we say makes any difference in what we see (or don’t see) on the field, and that we should just keep quiet while being dished heaping scoops of mediocrity, or as you say, find another team to root for?

Do you have any sources to back your speculation? The truth is the only ones who know are Peat and those within the organization. Please remember we as fans shouldn’t believe or speak of anything unless it comes from a place of blind optimism.
