Yes, Dennis Allen is still the HC but the moves made would indicate a man and franchise focused on becoming a playoff team again. With a little luck on the health and turnover fronts, we could exceed expectations. :bng: |

Seriously, we could clean house from top to bottom getting high first round picks for the next three years and still never see the promised land for two or more decades. It's simply hard to win in the NFL unless everything falls your way. The worst coach in the league can win the Championship if luck is on the team's side, while the best in the league may never win one in their career. |

You know damn well that if a customer of your business was as unhappy with you as you are with the Saints, they would simply go find another business to fill their needs. Why don't you go do that? Go be a Chiefs fan. They have the organization you want and the championships you want. Then everyone can all be happy. And I'm not going to ignore you. You are a pest. I'm just as committed to getting you to understand that we realize that the current iteration of the Saints are a work in progress and that nothing is going to significantly change in the next 6 months of the regular season. So, complaining about the composition of the organization, especially without any plan for correcting it (which you dodged exactly as I predicted), is a complete and utter waste of time. You've been complaining for 2 years. Nothing about the Saints has changed in two years. So, all your complaining does is give everyone here a headache when all we want to talk about is Saints Football in whatever iteration we are operating in. I've been going to Saints games and have been a Saints fan since 1972. I saw Archie. I was at the grand opening of the SuperDome. I've suffered the paper bag days, and the 1-15 season when the only team the Saints beat was the New York Jets one snowy Sunday in New York. I was there when the Saints won their first playoff game when Hakim dropped the ball. And followed the team after Katrina devastated the 2005 season. I sat my butt in Chicago in 2006 for the Saints first NFC championship game. And I sure celebrated when they finally won it all in 2009. And every season since up to and including last seasons 9-8 campaign. This period is just a blip in my Saints history. And when folks keep saying that this iteration of the Saints is the worst they've ever seen, that just means they have not been around long enough to really understand what that means. So, like Guido, and Rugs, and the others, I look at this season with an eye on improvement. This iteration of the Saints are not going 16-1, #1, NFC championship game and Super Bowl win. But if they can continue to make progress, that makes the season worth watching. Still waiting for your list of replacements. Since you figure you can complain your way to a championship team, you can also advise Mrs. Benson on exactly how to do that too. SFIAH |

But, great advise, SFIAH! They need to go move their "fandom" to a team that has all of the boxes which they claim to require being checked. Believe me, NONE of us would miss miss them one iota. Regardless of what they may claim they were most likely never a fan of the Saints until they won it all and now turn to hate when it hasn't quickly happened again. If they do choose to move on all I can say is don't let that door hit you in the ass. There's plenty of real fans looking to enter that swinging door. |
