^^^ See… I complain about my team (the Saints) disappointing me in a “Saints” Forum. No matter how annoying that might be, it is not as annoying as our team underperforming or improperly utilized or utterly mismanaged… and definitely not as annoying as you acting like a child… but here we are.

How so? Speculation can give some constructive ideas of how to make things better. You are certain that Dennis Allen, and I presume Mickey Loomis, cannot get the Saints back to promised land. So, that means that there are some behaviors or execution elements that you say that makes that so. So, other than the obvious (losing too many games, not making the playoffs, not winning a SuperBowl) what traits to you see in the current regime that causes this? And who out there that have traits that will cause the opposite?

I mean none of this is magic. It's work. You are asking the Saints to do the work. And that's fine. But you must have an idea of what you are looking for in order to fix it.

It's clear that the gold standard right now is KC. Other than the obvious, what are the GM, HC, and QB over there doing that puts them in the championship competition virtually every year that you don't see with the Saints? And who out there other than those guys do you see similar traits?

C'mon Guido. You're not really being helpful here. Sinner and some others around here are frustrated with the insignificant progress that the Saints have made in the last 3 years towards securing another championship. And honestly, the proof is in the pudding there. They are not satisfied with fielding a team that doesn't have a realistic chance of winning a championship in a reasonable time frame. That's the truth. It's not trolling.

So, the constructive conversation in this area has two parts. First is to clear out the current regime at some level. And Saints fans all over have been calling for that for a while now. But no one seems to want to address the pretty obvious second part: then who do you replace them with? And that's the question that I'm asking.

So, I would hope that unless you want to participate in that conversation, which I don't think you do, that it would be best if you just stay out of it. Training camp is starting in a couple of weeks. There's a whole bunch of things that can be discussed about that, the team, the preseason, and the outlook for the regular season. There's no need for you to throw stones in this conversation.

I’ll say it again, and politely. With all due respect, I am not here to answer to you, or to speculate about what a multimillion dollar organization should or shouldn’t do to fix this. I am just a fan, who saw Drew in decline years ago, and watched absolutely inadequate replacements put into position, and watched Sean Payton basically call it quits (and rightfully so), to be replaced by a limp d*ck with no fire and no ability to command the respect of some truly competent players, and I’ve done the hallucinogenic math at the end of the past few seasons, about who needs to lose to who, in order for us to possibly sneak or squeak into the “PLAYOFFS?!?!? ARE YOU KIDDIN ME?!?!?” And I’m looking at yet another precious year of my life, waiting to see if some unspectacular pieces might somehow fall into place, so that we might make .500 and keep those unspectacular pieces around a bit longer, to ride out a “rebuild” phase that feels like watching paint dry, or more accurately, black and gold paint peeling off the wall.

You keep asking me questions, when you know I’m only going to complain until THEY speculate on how to fix their own (mis) management. So you’re laying down a troll-chow banquet for me to feast on, and then complaining about me complaining. Gonna be a lonnnnnnnnng season bro. WHODAT!!!

I understand that you're going to complain no matter what I say or do. I also know that the Saints brass is 1) not going to do anything during the season and 2) Not publicly discuss any changes they plan to make until they actually do it. So, because of both of these, there is exactly zero chance that we'll hear anything from the Saints about any changes until two or more weeks after the season is over.

Fans speculate about stuff all the time. What players they may get. What record the team may have.

But just as you've done is this post you're pointing out the problems. So, you must have some idea about how to go about turning the ship around. It cost absolutely nothing. And the Saints are not going to listen to any of us anyway. You call Allen a limp-d*ck (real surprised that the bad word filter didn't filter this one). So, who out there isn't. Who is a coach that you admire? Would you take CSP if he were willing to come back?

Just because you're a fan doesn't mean that you don't have a brain. You must have thoughts about how the Saints can get back into the winners circle. All I'm asking is for you to share your thoughts on it.

Even go back to the decline that you saw. How could the Saints have mitigated that at the time? Should the Saints have drafted/traded for a legit successor while Brees was still here? I think many of us thought that the Saints were still in a championship window and that spending resources for Brees' replacement when the team still had a chance to win another SB with Brees may have been premature. In hindsight that may have been shortsighted.

We have 4-6 years of a track record now. Other than the obvious (Mahommes) who else would have panned out for the team?

As for Allen, you definitely think it was a poor choice. Who should they have choosen instead. Did the Saints even get that person in the building at the time? Who would you choose now?

I just don't understand why you don't want to talk about any of this. These are questions that have to be answered to make the changes that you are looking for. Since this is going to be such a long season for you, why not talk about what the Saints could do moving forward to get back to winners circle? I don't think that's troll fodder.

I reiterate, the Saints are not going to listen to us anyway. That includes your complaining. I realize I'm asking you to participate in an activity that my IRL friends and I have done for a while. If someone vetoes a decision about something like a restaurant choice, it's up to the person bringing the complaint to make another suggestion.

You already know the truth. The Saints are not going to work this out to your satisfaction. They have had 3 off ramps with Dennis Allen already and chose not to take any of them. If the Saints go 10-7, win the South, and win a home playoff game in 2024 before exiting without a real sniff of a championship, like the Succs did last season, then Allen won't be going anywhere. You can best believe in Loomis' mind that there's nothing to work out if that happens.

I keep telling you that if the Saints could work out what you are looking for, they would have done so. So, you are waiting for an event that will never happen.

So, that's why I ask you how you would work it out. Clearly you are more clued into the impediments that are keeping the organization from another championship. So, who would you like to see in place at the head of the organization who can actually fix this?

The Saints brass are just people. Football people with some experience. But just people like you and I. And with the interwebs we have a lot more access than fans in the past.

Let me throw out a name as an example: Michael Borgonzi - KC Chief Assistant GM. Clearly part of the organizational planning of a championship team. Also as director of Pro and College scouting has a plan for putting together a championship roster. How might he turn the ship around?
