Definitely agree with you on the clock management kevin. When they called that timeout with 1:30 left we were all like WTF? They should have let that clock run more. The Falcons defense couldn't stop our offense, the times they did the offense stopped themselves with the two turnovers. It should have at least gone into OT. But it didn't. We lost. We gave them 21 points. Not many games you are gonna win like that. I just wish we had played with the same effort in GB.

Look the refs jobbed us. End of story. They took away Hakim's TD before halftime on a bs call that directly led to that penalty that wasn't called on the field goal we never should have had to attempt. The fumble by Smith was atrocious but he more than made up for it with his two TD's, and AB's INT in the fourth to Devery was a bad pass not a bad decision. He more than made up for it with his TD to Devery with 46 seconds left. The Defense did stop the Falcons. They held them to 250 yds and were in Vick's face all day long. The refs handed that game to Atlanta on a silver platter and if you asked Mora he would tell you the same.

Cause we gifted them 21 points. Why is that so hard for you to understand? Is it that important for you to attempt to discredit the defense you are willing to make yourself look totally insane? Apparently so. Our defense played a great game. Start to finish. Let me ask, and this will clear it up for everyone. if we don't give the Falcons 21 unearned points, hell, if we don't give them 7, do we win? Yes or no?

Overall, the defense played good today..............but what do you expect? Aaron Brooks played good! I said it last week: the defense is only as good as Aaron Brooks is. As soon as tipped interception occured...........WHAM. Dunn takes it in untouched, on the very next play. That would have been a GREAT time to hold them to a field goal. Fortunately, Brooks rebounds...takes them the distance of the field.......and unfortunately, leaves a little too much time left on the clock. I agree wtih BlackonBlack when he says that we should have held them off for 38 seconds (although it was tough, since the Falcons had all 3 timeouts left).
Anyway, all of that being said, it should have went into overtime anyway, because the holding call was BS. Actually, no it shoudln't have gone into OT....we should have had a 14 point lead on them by that point. For those of you wondering why I so adamently predicted a Saints victory RIGHT AFTER THE SAINTS GOT BLOWN OUT (while the rest of you were throwing around crap like "fire haslett tomorrow" and "put McPhearson in now" and "we'll get the first pick in the draft")......you saw why yesterday, in their performance. I guess I failed to account for referee bias when I made my prediction. I just assumed it would be a fair game. Silly me. |

It was a bad call on the FG that allowed them to move closer and take another shot...Our WR's and RB's kept us in the game...Devery had a career day but would have been better had he not had to perform like a gymnast to make catches or slide on his but to catch the low ones...I have said it before I will say it again the guy has magic in him...we needed Horn out there to draw coverage and Smith and Stecker would have had a ton more yards...AB had a good day for AB

Until you have an argument that doesn't include Jake Delhomme, don't even bother responding to me CK1. JAke must've taken your girlfriend or something. Seriously. Someone had to make a thread earlier requestiing Jake Delhomme not be brought into it, guess who that was for. Get a clue, and get an argument besides "Well Jake did this" and maybe you will be taken seriously. But you're a one trick pony, so what else you got? Jake did this and the defense sucks. Yes you didn't answer a simple yes or no question. So i'll try again, and we'll see if you can answer without your obsession for Jake coming into play again.
Let me ask, and this will clear it up for everyone. if we don't give the Falcons 21 unearned points, hell, if we don't give them 7, do we win? Yes or no? |

What the hell does other teams turning the ball over have to do with us? I asked you a question, and you ask me one in turn, and that somehow proves your point? The fact that you are running from a yes or no answer says it all. You don't even have to offer an explanation. It's yes or no, yet you are unable to do that. Sad. Guess who leads the league in turnovers? The Saints. So to answer your question, yes other teams do have to overcome turnovers, but they don't have to overcome the most in the league.
http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NF...1=9&_3:col_1=6 So for the third time, I will ask you the same yes or no question. Let me ask, and this will clear it up for everyone. if we don't give the Falcons 21 unearned points, hell, if we don't give them 7, do we win? Yes or no? But you won't answer it, cause you are a fraud. And you keep exposing yourself. Go away. |
