Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Like this guys story, game and size. Just don’t think even is SS fall to #9 that would be the right pick for the Saints at this time. Be it defensive line or offensive receiver or Gentry if available. Draft someone like Howard and see how Rattler and Howard complete this year now we have 2 different prototype QB’s on different ends of the profile. I like that a lot.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Howard is cool. The Saints need to stop looking at QB in the later rounds though. We haven't drafted a QB in the 1st since when? If the #2, arguably #1 QB prospect is there at 9 and you pass him up it could set this franchise back for generations. It'll be Marcus Davenport over Lamar Jackson all over again.

FWIW, Will’s flaws were exposed at the combine.
Processing, ball placement, inconsistent release points. Gonna take a lot of development. 4th/5th rd flyer. |

Howard is bigger. He might have livelier arm as well, but I think if Shedeur played at Ohio State this past year he'd win the Heisman and throw for 40+ TD's. I've never seen Sanders with an offensive line or a running game. He's been able to thrive without those ingredients, and that's what he'd be coming into down here in New Orleans. He's battle tested for this situation. Howard on the other hand...mid at Kansas State. Oh, and Sanders protects the ball. He has very low interception numbers. Howard may be a better scrambler, but Shedeur is better at extending the play to throw. And let's not forget. Sanders mentor is Tom Brady. I'll continue to reiterate, I did NOT believe in Sanders when I watched him in high school. Year 1 at JSU made me say maybe. Year 2 at JSU made me say damn...that's a big leap but it's JSU. Year 3 at Colorado had me like wait a minute...he might have it. And this past year showed me everything. He can be a surgical QB. I wish Sean Payton was still here. He's perfect for that style of offense. |

Two weeks to go, peeps. It'll be fun to see the direction this franchise takes with KM at the helm.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
I find Kyle McCord intriguing in the middle rounds. Joe Milton would have been a cheap, interesting acquistion. I'm not big on Sanders but having a franchise quarterback is everything to an organization. Not sure Sanders is that but I'll definitely support him if we go that route.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Im warming up more and more to Sanders. Dude definitely has talent. If Kellen feels he’s the guy, then so be it. But man with so directions to go with this team, it’s tough to pass on so much talent on the board at 9 for a position that’s has a high failure rate. But I guess we gotta start pulling the trigger on a franchise QB high in the draft at some point, right?
