Nahhhh he retired a few years back

I'm always happy with us drafting a OT in the first round. More than anything I'm just happy it wasn't Sanders.

I think McCoy could be starting to break down, Ruiz is mid, and Penning is unproven on the inside. But we are set at tackle. I would have nothing against us taking a Guard with a later pick. We won a ring by hitting on mid round guards in the past and you ALWAYS need depth in the trenches. Sorry, but Saldeveri is out of his depth.

OK but Penning and Ruiz have both been a disappointment. Of course Ramczeck and Fuaga have been hits.

Seems 50/50 but I'd say first rounders from top programs have a better chance.

And if a first round Tackle isn't working out you can try them at guard. Pretty hard to try a first round guard/center like Ruiz at Tackle. So draft a Tackle from a big program like Banks.

Well, the beginning of Round 2 should be interesting.

Re: DRAFT 2025 LIVE THREAD

Ravens and Eagles make the most solid defensive picks! Always productive college players from the top college programs, not over evaluated players from small schools. When Miami was it, they took Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Then Marlin Humphreys and Patrick Queen.

Also Jakobe Dean and Jordan Davis to the eagle a few years ago to the eagles.

They all turn out to be what we thought they would. Before the pundits start telling us there are some other better prospects.

God I hope not. Get a guard or a DT or CB here in the second. Even a WR.

Re: DRAFT 2025 LIVE THREAD

I understand the pick, it's just frustrating that we've drafted that same position in about 4 straight years and keep having to.

The mess the roster is in won't be fixed in one off-season though.

We've switched to a 3-4 and have absolutely zero players up front to make it work.

Alvin is getting older and we need some youth in the backfield.

We need to move on from Carr. If Kellen feels Sanders is the guy, then go draft him in the 2nd round.

We need more options in the passing game.

We need better DB's all around.

Too many holes and not enough picks / moves made in free agency.

The only reason you do that though will be if Penning at RT and Banks at LG is better than Banks at RT and Radunz at LG

This will piss me off. A player a the 9th pick on the OL has to be a plug and play at OT. If he can’t play RT or LT and allow Fuaga to move to RT then we missed.

No way after this pick should Penning be on the edge barring injuries.

Conceivable they give a 4rth and switch second round picks

Side note. I noticed last night as the guys in the green room were walking towards the stage there was a guy there who would congratulate them all and seemed genuinely happy for them. I was hoping he would get drafted and get his moment.

He did. Pick 30 to the Bills, Maxwell Hairston. Good for him.

Swap out Sanders for Tyler Shough. If they go QB that'll be the pick imo

It looks like the Saints will have good options for a defensive pick here. I'd love for them to get a stud DE but hopefully they go defense with the next pick.

NFL Network saying Shough could be the week 1 starter.

Forgive me here, I see a lot of negativity, is he not good?

I saw he threw 6 or less ints every year.

Re: DRAFT 2025 LIVE THREAD

Hes the most pro ready of any of the QBs in this class. Will he be a bust? Probably. But there's a better than 50% chance that every QB in this draft will be too.

It's telling that the Browns had 2 chances to take Sanders and passed on both

31 teams passed on Sanders
It's like last years everyone online crying that teams ignored Willis.

No issue with this pick to be honest. If he's not good enough he will fight with Rattler to be the back up next year. If he's not good enough they'll likely habe a high pick next year and you go and try again

Mickey loves glass. All his favorite drinks are sold in it and all his favorite players are made of it.

At least we didn't trade up.

I am sure that in the future if Olave at $15 million or Shough with 4 season ending injuries in college are ever injured again, Guido will say it was completely unforseeable and that obviously we would have been 17-0 if not for the freak injuries. But the fact is that when you acquire and retain players with long injury histories, you have to expect that you will suffer more injuries than most teams.

I hope Shough is good, but if he gets injured we can't complain. The risk was baked into the price.

Something is put about sanders in the backend talk between teams. He had to have said something wrong during an interview. No way he slides like this otherwise
