Besides, the injury that contributed to Carr's decision to retire, according to Carr himself, was not discovered until after he began training for the new season. It was not known until he began throwing well after the end of last season.

Good grief. This is old. Carr is gone. He retired. This did the Saints and 99% of fans a favor. He wasn’t exactly a favorite. Most wanted the team to move on from him at any cost.

Regardless, the only relevant thing now is that he’s being paid this year and next year. And it’s a fraction of what it would’ve been. Then he’s off the books.

As far as how he was injured, if the Saints knew or not or if he lied or whatever, who cares? He’s gone and we have a new HC and staff and we’re gonna have a new starting QB this year.

Why is this still a conversation?

Agreed! We're not likely to get the honest truth on the Carr saga and at this point it is what it is.

Aside from still having our goober GM in Loomis, we can begin anew with new coaches and an updated roster for 2025-2026 and see where things land.
