In both cases someone who was not able to continue was put up for another term while hiding medical issues their team was aware of from the public, money and time was spent on a plan that could not move forward, the press and big events were avoided, then their additional term was ended before it ever started, worse medical issues were disclosed, and they were replaced with a second pick who had very little experience in competition. I don't want to get into politics, but its an interesting parallel that shows people would like leaders to be more transparent but many leaders are more focused on obsessively controlling the optics.
My father died from an extremely aggressive form of prostate cancer that was diagnosed as stage 4 less than three months after getting a completely clear exam. I'm sorry, but you don't have a clue what you are talking about with this latest pile of horse crap.

Don't be so dramatic. This is a forum full of opinions and I'm with Bako on this one.

Just pointing out how over dramatic Bako was being with his latest conspiracy theory. I've been out of the country for the past two weeks and actually missed his comedy.

I'm sorry, but his uninformed theory on Biden just hit home closely. Dad was about the same age and fully healthy at his last complete semi-annual checkup which included an ideal PSA test. Hell, he'd been shooting his age in golf regularly at the time. He started having symptoms a couple of months later out of the blue. It was already stage 4 from being completely absent just weeks before.

I didnt say which medical issues. Clearly 46 was hiding cognitive decline. I am not an oncologist. It would not be incredibly surprising if a politician hid other conditions they felt at the time were managable but I am not saying it happened. Regardless, the Saints owed it to fans they asked to pony up for season tickets to be transparent about Carr’s outlook. Instead Loomis has always had the ‘you can’t handle the truth’ attitude and insisted on controlling fans who cant be trusted to think for themselves.

The issue that caused Carr's decision to retire wasn't discovered until he started training for this upcoming season ... well after season ticket renewals took place. It was not the same issue that both Carr and the front office were aware of months earlier.

The Saints hid the shoulder issue from fans for an unspecified period of time:

Uh, you are aware that "fans" are not required, nor allowed, to be privy to any player's medical issues outside of the active season, right? Probably not, given your accuracy, or total lack thereof, on this issue to the present. The only reason any medical issues can be shared during the season are CBA requirements through negotiated agreements waiving HIPAA guidelines.

The Saints hid nothing that any other team did not share about their players. The Saints did exactly what was required according to NFL CBA guidelines. Nothing more and nothing less.

Take your goofy assed conspiracy theories back to your IHateLoomis.com website and share them with your extensive following.

HIPAA applies to healthcare providers not to the Saints. Tons of teams provide tons of injury updates during the offseason. The Saints did not simply fail to provide injury updates on Carr during the offseason and the Saints have provided many in the past, instead the Saints provided affirmative statements indicating Carr's recovery was going well, declaring they expected him to be their starting QB for the 2025 season. The law doesn't require teams to be silent on players injury outlook in the offseason, and the problem wasn't that the Saints were silent, its that they actively told lies to cover up the truth.

Wrong, Bako. HIPAA absolutely DOES apply to employers that maintain self-administered health plans such as NFL teams.

The Saints hid nothing from the public that they were obliged to share. They did verify info once Carr went public himself. Besides, the injury that contributed to Carr's decision to retire, according to Carr himself, was not discovered until after he began training for the new season. It was not known until he began throwing well after the end of last season.

But don't let accuracy stand in the way of your hatred of the Saints front office.
