Double check your source, Euphoria. Click the thread at the beginning of the post. We are listed 4th behind GB, Houston, Tennessee. It will not show until tomorrow, but b/c GB lost and we "own" the tie-breaker over them by virtue of the loss, we would then move up to third. Correct?

Once you use overall record - if there is a tie you go by Divisional record - if there is a tie you go by points for... don't confuse rules for playoffs with anything else different rules apply to different things.

I just realized how stupid this is... if there is a tie it goes to Strenght of Schedule... thats way to complicated to figure out just yet.

I like Quinn but I dont think he will come out, I still like Leinart, I also like Cutler. I think Cutler and Leinart have the maturity to play in the NFL, but I am concerned that they will not be able to win in their first year. Cutler may be too used to losing...I say keep AB on the bench or trade him for a second round pick for a DL or OL like Kyle Williams or Whitworth that I think are great talents, seniors, smart, and will most likely go in the second round maybe late first to a team like Houston or Dallas or Miami. Saban knows them and likes them, and we all know Parcells like LSU products.

I doubt Quinn enters this years draft. If he comes back for his senior season, chances are he will be the front runner for the heisman. If Vince Young wins the national title and/or the heisman, I think he will go pro. Young needs to go to a team with a great QB coach as his passing needs a lot of work. Granted he will immediately become the 2nd most dangerous running QB in the league behind Michael Vick. Here are Mel Kiper's top five junior QB's in order: Brady Quinn, Vince Young, Drew Stanton, Marcus Vick, and Jordan Palmer. After Leinart, the top senior QB's on Kiper list are Jay Cutler, Brodie Croyle, Darrell Hackney, and Barrick Nealy. The only sure fire 1st rounders at this point are Leinart, Quinn and Young. I personally prefer Quinn, but it would be hard to pass on Leinart and Young. All three would be an upgrade over Brooks at this point. They have all proven to be "winners" at the college level and any one of the three would be a welcome addition to the 2006 Saints team.

http://www.fftoday.com/sos/sos.htm

This link list the Strength of Schedule (SoS) for the 2005 NFL Season. The Saints are ranked as 19th, meaning they have the 19th "toughest" schedule (or the 14th weakest, depending on how you look at it). This will only come into play if they have the same record as another team. IE: If the Saints end up with the same record as the 49ers, NO would pick first b/c their SoS is 19th and SF is 27th. However, if they tie GB with the same record, the Packers pick before the Saint b/c their SoS is the 17th toughest.

Well, the team didn't play, but still managed to mess up. By remaining idle during the bye, we dropped from 4th to 7th in the draft.

Can this team do anything right? lol But in front of us is Arizona and San Fran. Arizona should beat San Fran when they play again, dropping under us, and San Fran took a QB number one last year. Then there's the Jets. They should beat us in two weeks after NE beats us. Baltimore is tough to figure, as they may be pushing for Leinart. Tenn will beat Houston and drop under us plus they have Volek, and McNair has not retired yet. We're not too bad off. Baltimore can prob steal another win off Cleveland.
