KFFL.com is reporting it now....But I guess with the whole page on T.O.'s birthday party ESPN.com didn't have room for the Brooks story.

Apparently they also mentioned it on ESPN radio. But that may also be, along with KFFL, that they read it here, and we read it from PFT.com, so I wonder where it started? Believe me, that's happened before.

Saints bench Brooks for season's final three games

The Saints have demoted quarterback Aaron Brooks to backup for the final three games of the season.

Todd Bouman will be starting for those games with Brooks listed as the backup, according to the team.

A Saints spokesman said the demotion is based on BrooksÃƒÂƒÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢Â€ÂšÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢Â€ÂžÃ‚Â¢ performance this season and the teamÃƒÂƒÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢Â€ÂšÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢Â€ÂžÃ‚Â¢s 3-10 record and not on any comments Brooks has made recently about the NFL Commissioner or Saints management.

Brooks is suffering through the worst season of his career with the team, having thrown only 13 touchdown passes, and 17 interceptions. He has one of the lowest passer ratings in the league.

Brooks has come under fire for a few years by team fans for his perceived lack of concern over the teamÃƒÂƒÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢Â€ÂšÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢Â€ÂžÃ‚Â¢s performance.

Brooks has also been at odds with the media through the years. At the end of last season and during much of the offseason he refused to talk to the media due to what he felt was undue criticism.
