If the Saints take anyone but a QB in the first round then you can count on another long season. Plus there is little reason to believe that the Texans will take another QB in round one. Unless they trade it for like 3 OL men its not gonna happen. Texans will take Bush regardless of Young entering the draft. Of course we are talking about the same Texan team who claimed Brian Boselli as their "franchise" choice....
Anyway Saints have to have either Young or Leinhert. |

Must take Bush
If the Texans are dumb enough to take Young we MUST take Reggie Bush. We then sign Air McNair as our QB for the interim when the Titans reunite Leinart and Norm Chow.
I'll take my chances with McNair, Duece, and Bush in the backfield over Leinart and Duece. You take the money saved on Brooks cutting and pay McNair less and you take the money you get by dropping Howard and give it to Bentley. Draft a LB in the second round and a LT in the third and hope either Stinchcomb comes back hardcore or you can move Brown over to LT some time down the line. After a year or two with McNair you hand the reigns to AMAC. It's as simple as that folks. You do not pass on the next Gail Sayers. |
