Well, hopefully they made the right decision. No use in bi***ing now. One positive to look at tho, he specializes in QBs, and could form a very strong and useful bond with Leinart.

Well, I guess it's done. I hope that Fox, Gruden, and Parcells have rubbed off on him. My biggest fear is that, as a QB coach, he will think that he can "fix" Aaron Brooks, rather than cut him.

I hope he picks us a good DC... our offense should be more consistent with him coaching.

Saints | Payton to be named new head coach
Tue, 17 Jan 2006 14:41:14 -0800 Jimmy Smith and Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, report the New Orleans Saints will hire Sean Payton, formerly an assistant coach with the Dallas Cowboys, as their head coach. He will become the 14th different head coach in the team's history. The two sides negotiated a multi-year contract Tuesday, Jan. 17, and he is expected to be announced as the team's new head coach sometime Wednesday, Jan. 18. Payton has eight years of NFL experience as an assistant coach, where he has worked with the Cowboys, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/ I guess it could have been alot worse. I assume he came cheap and someone that Loomis and Benson can control. Like I said it could have been alot worse. My only hope is that he doesn't think he can fix AB! |

RE: Apparently it is official - Payton
Can anybody tell me what Mr. Payton has done to merit a head coaching position?
