I say if Brooks wants to take a pay cut and willing to give his best effort I say it may be a good idea to hold on to him. |

If AB or a veteran FA is around I think and we will develope a mid to late first day QB.
Charlie Whitehurst, QB, Clemson - 4 OC in 4 years but all the tools Brett Basanez Northwestern - only 6'2" above average arm but SMART Or a mid day pick in day 2 Matt Gustierrez of Michigan - All the tools just stuck behind some great QB. |

Charlie Whitehurst is awful. I've seen him play for the last two years, this last year in person, and the Wake Forest defense made him look bad.

If we draft Leinart, Young or Cutler we should cut AB. Do we really want him hang around to show the rookie how to laugh during critical times in each game or throw INT's in the redzone.
I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I don't care if it cost 6 mil to keep him as long as we can post a winning record. Not using our pic on a QB is more worth it in the long run and trading down for extra picks and this may mean Brooks stays.

brooks should go! heres why........do i even need a reason...only keep him as an emergency qb, or even better a trick play qb...i mean who can, with perfection run the play-action, look off the safety, left tackle latteral flea flicker (san diego).........

If your a new coach and serious about getting rid of AB then you don't come in a say "AB is totally wrong for my offense and we need a change..." Payton has say all the politically correct things about every player on the roster at this point. Including the ones that he has targeted as trade bait.
