Clean the damn house . . . get rid of the deadwood. Shed AB like the plague and bring in someone else to mentor Lienart if that is the route SP takes, plus use the AB money to wheel and deal. There is no added value in keeping AB. I certainly don't want him training the QB of the future to pass backwards and how to fumble and smile about it. AB has too much down side to be kept.

Keeping Brooks one more year to have him duel it out with whomever is drafted or signed is not a the worst proposition, provided that if a FA is signed it is a quarteback who is of starting caliber. Remember Drew Brees's production jump when Rivers was drafted, I do. With a new head coach, and hopefully staff and scheme the offense can (that's a big CAN) be productive. Eliminating 1st and second and 20's will go a long way in increasing a qurtbacks production. If winning now is importantant then yes there needs to be compition at quarteback, but other glaring issues need to be addressed to help that quarterback suceed.

I'd take a coke & a bag of chips from any team for Aaron Brooks!!!! However, since the other coaches & GM's have watched him play, we'll probably have to settle for a slim jim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
