4- The Curse = Donte will go to Philly and become a receiving god to rival his Dad's legacy, and we'll be watching Horn free agent his way out of NOLA.
If you're referring to his dad being John Stallworth, you got the wrong dude.

My prediction:

J. Horn, Colston, Henderson, Jones, C. Horn, Hass

Lyman and Moore to the practice squad. They'll make the team after we trade Devery next season.

Horrible decision. Stallworth had nearly 1000 yards last year and has speed to stretch the field. Simmeneau is a as good as Shanle...Simminoue (sp-?) isn't a stud by any means. Again, another warm body to add depth to a thin group of LB's...we will end up with llike 15 LB's who all suck! 4th round pick is good, but Stallworth will tear it up in Philly and if Payton could be patient enough to let him learn the system, he'd be valuable to N.O. I hope Payton knows what he's doing. I hope he proves me wrong. I hope Stallworth sucks this year and I hope we get a gem in the fourth round next year...O-line, D-line or a Linebacker from college who knows how to tackle!

after all the debating on your boy I have to remind you.
Donte will once again be one of the best in the NFL at dropping passes. I know, I know it is so objective. Besides there was another in wy. mo or was it ut ? betting on beers with lake trout.
just incase i loss, yeah right, you get root beer(top shelf)

I really think Donte is a good receiver. I would have liked to keep the guy with the Saints, but I think we got a fair deal here. Simoneau is probably not "the answer to our LB probs", but he is a serviceable back-up and even a starter sometimes. You never know, maybe some Eagle fans are saying that Simoneau is going to resurrect his career in New Orleans.

Simoneau and a 4th round pick that could end up being a 3rd round pick is definately fair.

At least Coach P is trying to shore up the LB corps.

On that note, everyone agreed that we needed LB help in the offseason. In fact before the draft several people were hoping to get Hawk. Now that we haven't done so well against the pass, a lot of people are saying we need to shore up the CB.

IMO, LB is a definate need for this team and any help is a step in the right direction.

Okay, I am not getting it. Find the thread. Are you saying that Donte, who for the FIRST time in his career even led this team in drops last year, on a 3-13 horrible hurricane ravaged team, will repeat that feat? That's the bet? Find the thread is all I can say. I can't believe you would be that biased as to make a bet like that. Sounds downright foolish.

If Payton is looking to add depth at Linebacker, and not talent...Please sign me.,..I am 5'11", 217 Lbs..fat and out of shape..Oh, I'm also 33 years old and haven't played football since 1995...If depth, not quality, is what Payton wants, I could save the Saints money...I just need the league minimum salary and a flight to Training camp! Get may jersey ready...I'll call my agent!

I still don't see how trading Donte was such a mistake. HE HAD A BAD ATTITUDE! That's the last thing we need on this team. Some players just aren't going to jell here. And if he has a great season in Philly, that doesn't automatically mean he would have had as good of a season here.

Honestly who cares what he would have done....woulda coulda shoulda. He should've been working hard in camp. I think with his athletic talent, if he was working as hard as he could, he would have been the #1 reciever no doubt. But that didn't happen.

And I doubt he'll do anything in Philly until they get some more help. First of all they don't run the ball, which will hurt him. Second of all he's the only reciever they have. All they have to do is double him. He's not good enough to put up Pro Bowl numbers in that situation.

........and hands of stone. That's not good when you're a receiver.
