This now opens the door for the others who were on their way out like C.Horn or a Lance Moore, Moore who was surely gonna be a PS guy, but now has to fight with Lymaan to earn that last spot...With Stall gone, it'll take two guys to fill in that #2 spot. Which will be Colston and DH's job sharing time at #2, Hass will own his spot at #3...To me Jones has dropped on my list. He hasn't been all that impressive like he started off anymore, if he thinks that he has a spot locked up from the beginning, then hes wrong! If he can get back to how he was performing, then we have our 5th reciver, then there's the battle between Moore, Lymaan, and C.Horn About the trade, this could really turn out to be a smart one. Payton has come in and made some pretty impressive moves to improve this team. Mark has been a starter, a similar Fujita type player, although Stall was much younger, he brings leadership and pure skills to the table. Even though I would've prefered Jones or Trotter, this is still a very much upgrade on our D Another thing, Why did we get a LB?! We needed a CB, we are so weak at that position that we'll dominate at stopping the run but get passed on until our ears bleed. We can clearly see that our LBing corp was looking pretty good without Mark and his 3rd rounder, if any trade was a good one...We would've been better off getting a starting LB or a corner He definitely won't be a starter in my opinion, over who? Fujita is a stay with Kuale backup, Middle there is Fincher, with backup Foreman. And then there's Shanle, who improves every season at WSLB until Polley returns then will be backup, with Melton and Colby, too. So the only thing I see is that he starts at middle and they release Melton, who has the least stats and upside of them all, except for the rookie Kuale who they are high on and Fincher as well. But all in all, our LBing corp will be the best underrated one there is, not DomePatrol good but by next yr or a few we can count on it |

Not a bad move on the Saints part being Stall only had one year left of his contract and everyone knows he wasn't going to get a new contract so why not trade him right now, a number three next year plus a LB isn't bad..
Simneaux might not have started every game for the Eagles but we all know he'll start for us... I wish Stallworth all the luck.. |

AllSaints, i know the feeling! I'm glad we won't play the Eagles this year. I would feel much better about it if he was in the AFC.

Still not happy!
Value wise if the Saints do get a 3rd, then it was a smart move. Obviously the writing was on the wall after the off season incident and the training camp issues. This coach means business and I sure hope in the long run that these moves pay off. Good luck Stall! P.S I still hate Philly! |

I'm glad to see the FO taking action and doing what needs to be done. If he wasn't going to be extended then get the best deal ya can for him. We coulda had a second for Darren Howard before last season. The highest paid center in history walked away with the team getting zero compensation. The Pats were supposedly in the bidding too so I am sure they took the best deal. It is actually more than I would have guessed. Simoneau will have an impact now, not next year. C'mon and get him signed Philly before you count the bobble'n drops to make it a 3rd.
The WR situation certainly cleared up quickly Horn---------Henderson Colston------Jones Hass---------C. Horn Moore, Practice Squad Johnson and Beerman, PUP to start the year |

The stat-padding QB is gone. His beneficiary WR is now gone. What's not to Love? It may take a while but did you really want more years of "Fumbles the Clown" to "Do You Know Who I am?!? In Black & Gold? As my Maw-Maw said: "Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish!" I could be wrong...... Don't think so this time. |

I am surprised, but I guess the know they have a lot of offensive talent, and you can't get everybody the ball. While on the other hand, they can use some depth on defense. I hope he does well there, but not against the Saints.

If they don't extend him in Philly he'll be on the open market next spring. I think it was a character issue similar to Smith why he was moved, so no way of resigning. But just in that light, a 4th rd pick and a LB that could very well start here for a year's rental is a fair enough deal.
