I can understand time during the day is limited but at night?
so how about 2 time limits here. 4 hours in the day and two hours at night.
is this ok?

tapout 02-09-2007 08:33 PM

we're talking almost 10 hrs since the last pick. don't you think you would check the site in that time if you knew you had a top, oh say 5 pick? i mean its not real, you don't really have to write the guy a check, just pick someone. sorry, its the mock madness, it comes on so fast.

hagan714 02-09-2007 08:35 PM

Arizona Gaines Adams, DE, 6-5 260 4.59 Clemson
The Cardinals are stacked at the offensive skill positions but are in serious need of help along the offensive line. With Joe Thomas off the board and Levi Brown being a reach at this point, Arizona turns their attention to the defensive side of the ball. With Chike Okeafor and Bertrand Berry both having battled injuries in recent years, the Cardinals could use some help along the defensive line. Gaines Adams is arguably the best defensive prospect in the draft and would significantly increase the level of production from the defensive end position.

Round 1
1 Oakland Raiders - Joe Thomas, OT 6-8 315 5.05 Wisconsin

3 Cleveland Browns Calvin Johnson WR 6 - 4.0 235 4.45 GT

4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Alan Branch DT 6 - 6.0 325 5.00 Michigan

Lets get it on!

CheramieIII 02-10-2007 08:17 AM

Washington Redskins select Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame

explain...........

CheramieIII 02-10-2007 08:32 AM

Washington Redskins select Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
The Redskins have been hurting at the QB position for several years now. Quinn should be in the running for the starting QB position next season with Jason Williams. Jason Williams shows some promise but seems to make errors at crucial points during the game. This selection will also give the Redskins options if they want to trade one away later for a run stuffing DT or sack monster DE.

CheramieIII 02-10-2007 08:33 AM

Sorry about that, I just got excited and hurried the pick in, I didn't want to be the Vikings.

hagan714 02-10-2007 08:42 AM

lets see when neugey gets up. how long do you want to give him?

neugey 02-10-2007 12:30 PM

The Vikings will select runningback Adrian Peterson, University of Oklahoma.

Explanation:
As pseudo-GM of the Vikings, I had to run this pick by my wife. She is a Vikings fan and I felt that she should have the final say on the pick. Because of her, I get to see a lot of the Vikings games over the course of the season.

The Vikings D is great and they simply need to do a better job of controlling the ball and keep their defense off the field. The Vikings are going to need a better rushing attack to take the pressure off of QB's Brad Johnson and Tavaris Jackson and keep 3rd downs managable. Sure, the Vikes need a WR, but why pick one now when you can wait til the end of the 7th round ;-). And I think current Viking RB Chester Taylor was overworked last year. He needs a runner backing him up that could physically wear down the defense. Peterson fits the bill perfectly and gives the Vikings the 1-2 punch at RB that is now popular in the NFL. The day of the feature back is dying - and overuse cost guys like Terrell Davis, Jamal Anderson and Priest Holmes their careers. The Vikings could have a great OL and Peterson is scratching the surface of his ability. And pairing him w/ Taylor will hopefully keep him healthy. Divison-wise, the Colts showed the Vikings that the best way to beat the Bears is to run at them. And we know the Packers and Lions can be run on.

Says Coach Brad Childress - "We're excited to have Peterson at RB. He's a good kid who has been well-coached at Oklahoma. Boy, this offseason has gone quick. Seems like the Super Bowl was just last week!"

fhs623 02-10-2007 01:33 PM

Despite a glaring need at WR, I'm going to select Levi Brown, OT, Penn St. Jamaal Anderson was very tempting but protecting Carr is priority #1.

My explaination:
Its very simple, I need someone to protect Carr's blind side. If yall remember Martz's offenses during his time at the Rams, Kurt Warner (when he played a full season) got sacked 29 times in 1999, 38 times in 2001 during those seasons he totaled 4353 yds, 41 tds in 1999 and 4830 yds, 36 tds in 2001. I know Kitna threw for 4000 yds, but threw 21 ints, and Carr didnt throw that many picks despite the fact he was running for his life in every pass play.

CheramieIII 02-10-2007 01:45 PM

The Miami Dolphins select, Ted Ginn Jr., WR, Ohio State.

This guy will stretch the field for the Dolphins. Chambers has never really developed into the play maker we all hoped for and Boston and Booker, well need I say more. This Phins have had alot of other pretenders at WR but this guy is the real deal. The Dolphins have to give Culpepper at least one more season don't they and maybe some weaspons too. This guy is the weapon they have been looking for.

hagan714 02-10-2007 02:24 PM

Minni is a surprise. considering the DE had zero sacks last year and could not get pressure on the QB even if a revolving door was in to do the blocking. but how can you pass on peterson.
Detroit reached a bit here. could not trade down?
Miami goes speed over hands. does not do any good for a QB when he is on his back. But it fills a need for sure. Throw it up there and let Ginn run under it.

fhs623 02-10-2007 02:32 PM

I might've reached but Mel kiper Jr had Brown going to Texans at 8 in this mock draft.

No not that much of a reach at all you got the best OT in the draft. He was tough to peg. he is listed anywhere from 6 to 22 in the mocks. I like the pick

TheDeuce 02-10-2007 03:52 PM

Sorry for my tardiness guys, I've been in Shreveport attending a funeral. Gaines Adams was a good pick though hagan, that's who I would have gone with. Originally, I would have selected Joe Thomas to shore up that OLine in order to open up holes for Edge and give Leinart some time, but he was taken. And then I also think that Branch is a better prospect, but he too was taken. Well done hagan

hagan714 02-10-2007 04:54 PM

sorry for the loss
I went for the monster not the hype. glad it fit your plans

hagan714 02-10-2007 05:25 PM

40 minutes and counting till atlanta picks.

hagan714 02-10-2007 07:00 PM

Since BlackandBlue is not here I will wait a bit longer.

hagan714 02-10-2007 09:17 PM

10. Atlanta Falcons LaRon Landry S 6 - 1.5, 204, 4.45
What a tough choice. Jamaal Anderson, Dwayne Jarrett, LaRon Landry or Reggie Nelson.
With DE Patrick Kerney a free-agent and John Abraham often injured, DE could also be a pressing need. Anderson has the potential to grow into a dominating force at DE, as he can play both the run and pass at 6-6, 280 pounds. Still somewhat raw, Anderson has the potential to become a special pass-rusher at the next level, and could even fit in as a 3-4 DE because of his size. But he is a player who is somewhat under the radar till this point. I will call this the Mario effect and pass on him. grrrr
Dwayne Jarrett god knows Atlanta needs hands but not here.....If Ted Ginn Jr was here I think that would be the pick
The team really thought bringing in Lawyer Milloy would fix that problem. But Lawyer(33) has been a bust, 0 interceptions and 2 sacks. Their other starter is Crocker who is below average in coverage and wouldn't start on many teams. Then do you go with a play maker like Nelson over the Hitter in Landry. After drafting 2 play making CB and the questions at LB and DT I went for the hitter.

filaphill if you get here before blackandblue does and do not like the pick go ahead and change it

CheramieIII 02-11-2007 08:10 AM

Hey Hagan make sure you change Williams to Campbell in my explanation. I don't know what the stuff I was thinking yesterday. Maybe my meds kicked in to soon.

hagan714 02-11-2007 08:24 AM

I know I tried to hold you to a few of those offers you messed up. :P
Luck you
you were only 1/2 way in a coma. :annoy:

CheramieIII 02-11-2007 09:05 AM

Had to re-read some of the offers 10 times.

hagan714 02-11-2007 10:05 AM

I guess the pick will be made at noon CST

hagan714 02-11-2007 12:05 PM

11 San Francisco 49ers Dwayne Jarrett WR 6 - 5, 210, 4.5 USC
Tuff pick with the needs on Defense espically at CB and DL with the 49ers going to a 3-4 but they go with USC’s, Dwayne Jarrett a prolific college WR with a bright future. Jarrett has good speed and hands and at 6'5 will create problems for opposing DB's.

hagan714 02-11-2007 12:08 PM

well blackand blue you can change the pick before papz picks

hagan714 02-12-2007 02:43 PM

never thought we would be sitting here for these two.

CheramieIII 02-12-2007 04:56 PM

Papz make that pick so I can take whichever is left.

hagan714 02-13-2007 05:45 AM

hey I need other people willing to draft here that have no team or at least one team to take picks for those who do not show up. this is turning into my mock draft. that was not the point. Those of us with morr than one team, who are willing, can give there team to the person that missed the pick. You will remain as a backup incase they do not show up again. PM me if you are willing.

mighty12 02-13-2007 06:40 AM

12 - Buffalo Bills select DE Jamaal Anderson University of Arkansas

Anderson drops to a salavating Bills team in need of big play Defense, they now find that lining up on the opposite end of Aaron Schobel. Having 2 pass rushing DEs will help out the pass D in the event of a Nate Clements departure. This selection is a rare need and best available pick. The Bills recieved a true prize here with Anderson falling out of the top ten. Anderson will add sure tackling hands to a poor Bills defense whose top tacklers are in their secondary.

papz 02-13-2007 09:41 AM

I'm surprised Okoye is still on the board as well as Quinn being drafted by the Redskins. Everything else looks alright. I was hoping Okoye was going to be there for the picking with the Buffalo pick... but let's see where he goes now.

hagan714 02-13-2007 10:02 AM

okay i can give you Okoya and we can watch and see how far anderson goes. we are still waiting on cher. so take him if you want. I can change it.
