Aaron Brooks is being treated unfair...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; by the coaches, fans, and sportswriters. The only concern should be about the health of his shoulder. Not his leadership skills and blah blah. I say he's being treated unfair by the coaches because they are sending him to these ...

Aaron Brooks is being treated unfair...

by the coaches, fans, and sportswriters. The only concern should be about the health of his shoulder. Not his leadership skills and blah blah.

I say he's being treated unfair by the coaches because they are sending him to these leadership seminars. Was good is that going to do? Aaron is not the type of guy to get in someone's face and yell (like Rich Gannon). You have leaders like Michael Jordan who will get in your face. And then you have leaders like Tim Duncan who lead by example. I see Aaron being like Tim Duncan. Forget the talking and lead by example and do your job so your team could win. I recall Aaron putting his arm around Stallworth during the first game against Carolina and telling him "don't worry about the dropped balls. I am coming back to you" and what happens.... Stallworth catches the winning touchdown pass. That's leadership at it's finest.

And the fans are even worse. How are you going to boo your starting quarterback who was at the time leading the NFC in touchdown passes and should of been voted to the pro-bowl? Aaron Brooks did improve from the 2001 season. His TD's increased and his Int's decreased. Some of the Saints fans are idiots. One game away from a shot at winning the Super Bowl and you boo your starting quarterback? Baffles me!

And I say sportwriters are wrong too. Whoever wrote the article about Aaron watch out is flat out wrong. Why should he watch out? It seems to me that most of the blame for last season collapse is being blamed on Aaron Brooks when it should be blamed on Haslett. This team could not finish an opponent because the defense kept letting teams back in the game. Aaron and the offense bailed the team out plenty of times only to find themselves back in a hole because the defense (which is supposed to win you games) always gave it up. Just look at how Aaron Brooks out performed quarterbacks like Favre, Garcia, McNabb, Vick, and Gannon when all of those quarterbacks faced the number one defense (Tampa Bay). Aaron threw 4 touchdown passes and only one pick against the number one defense. Favere threw three picks in a loss, Vick was picked off, Garcia threw three picks, McNabb threw a crucial interception that sent Tampa to the Super Bowl and Gannon (yes the MVP) threw 5 Int's and three were returned for touchdowns. Do we here any of their fans booing? Do we hear any of their sportwriters saying watch for the second string? Aaron Brooks gets no respect!
