this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Bush, when he is healthy, is a great player. He may not be an every down RB but he does force defenses to focus on him. I would like to get the Forte kid from Tulane, maybe 2nd or 3rd ...

Bush, when he is healthy, is a great player. He may not be an every down RB but he does force defenses to focus on him. I would like to get the Forte kid from Tulane, maybe 2nd or 3rd round if we think Deuce won't return to form. Reminds me of Deuce. I just don't think Stecker or PT will be a force in the NFL, and I don't think we should settle for journeyman RB's.
I definitely think Gibbs should be gone yesterday |

Yeah all those players are the players he wanted? He got all the picks he wanted? Signed all the FA he wanted? Not really a stupid answer is it? Well to logical questions at least.

A prediction with inside information would be that we are going to trade Bush to the Patriots for Seymour, Watson, Samuel and Gay. Now that's a prediction. |

They got a bunch of no names with speed and their defense is 3rd in the NFL. *buzzer* What is...coaching? Right again for $500. We could've no doubt drafted more defensive players, and no doubt drafted FASTER players. Payton decided we'd draft around "character", and look where that sorry trail has led us. I could hire a convent of Nuns with a ton of character, but could they stop Kyle Orton? Doubt it. |

Re: Dont believe everything you read...
-Rick Mueller will be fired.
Wouldn't surprise me. Our scouting has been fairly hit or miss, usually miss. -At least 3 assisstant coaches will be fired. Also wouldn't surprise me; I'd say Gibbs and/or Vitt are likely candidates. -Deuce will be RELEASED! (He is 29, two major knee injuries, and makes a ton of money...all that equals ZERO TRADE VALUE so get that thought out of your minds now.) 50-50 on that happening. Depends on his rehab and the RB situation come the offseason. -There will finally be an attempt to really overhaul the defense. God I hope so. -Jason David will still be on the roster. God I hope not. -Reggie Bush will be told to grow up, man up, and stop only thinking about himself. Hopefully he takes it to heart. It took Tiki Barber a couple years to put everything together, I'm not ready to write him off yet. -Robert Meachem will be healthy and he will be the guy everyone talks about leading up to training camp and about how now things are like "Night and Day" when compared to his first year. God I hope so; he may have been a good investment for the future but when guys like Posluszny, Houston, and Branch were all still on the board for that pick it's a hard pill to swallow and gets us to playing 'what if' with this season. I fear for the fact that he couldn't crack any spot in the lineup, then look at how Simoneau started 16 games and realize it's not such a big deal. -The Saints will draft yet another RB relatively high in the draft. God I hope not, but I completely see it happening. Bush, Stecker, and Thomas alone would be more than enough, but Payton just can't seem to get enough toys to play with so a big bruiser in the 2nd is highly likely. So will be another one of my broken remotes come draft day. -Marques Colston will get a long term deal from the Saints. If this doesn't happen I swear I will do a GTA style drive by on every single thing on Airline Drive. -The Saints will be the odds on favorite to win the NFC South before camp starts. Because that worked out so well for us this year... |

Lets compare apples and oranges? Sean had diddle pooh when he got here

Re: Dont believe everything you read...
As for the colts drafting a bunch of no names this year and still having a really good def. Coaching is part of it, but Bob Sanders is a bigger part of it. With out him in the lineup any team can have a good amount of push on offense vs the colts def.
Bobaganoosh, thanks for the input and insight. Everything you said makes sense, and I pray to god we actually get a real middle linebacker. |

But you are one of those kids who thinks trading Bush and McAllister is a great idea with no ramifications and that will fix everything. Yeah, people who know football definitely feel better about themselves after talking to you.
