What i mean by he has something left is the fact that he actually has something left and Moose doesnt. I know he is only 27, but he is not being looked down at because he played with the Bears. Moose is 35...is that not registering with you. I will be if you ask any Bears fan they will tell you he is washed up. just like last year, any real Saints fan would have told the people in atlanta that Horn was washed up. Moose played every game last year and only caught 40 passes. Do you think he would come in here and top that? of course he wouldnt. Do you think he would be anything better than our 4th option here? of course he wouldnt. Do you think that he thinks New Orleans is the ideal place for him? of course not. He is not someone that do anything good for this team.

yeah lets bring in a 35 year old receiver...thats just what we need.

It's all in the reflexes.

He's still 34, he's got a couple months...

Here's a group of 34-35 year old WRs that you wouldn't want to have on your team because they are 34-35.

As for Horn, he's been on the decline due to injuries since 2005, playing for a pass-happy offense, and we witnessed that decline.

Muhammad, on the other hand, for the past 3 years, has caught balls thrown by Rex Grossman, Kyle Orton, and Bob Griese. Are you trying to tell me that has nothing to do with his numbers? Come on!!

What's up with you today?

Re: Bears release WR Muhammed

There are always exceptions to every rule. Harrison and Owens are just freaks who know how to take care of their body. Driver and Engram were better athletes than Moose to begin with. That may be my major point, he wasnt a super talented guy to begin with. And now, the few physical traits he had are diminishing even more. I am sure you can say the QB play didnt help him any, just like fans of Grossman will tell you that his WR's made him look worse. Grossman threw for a bunch of yards and TD's during their super bowl run, and not much of that was because of Muhammed.

I see where you are coming from, but at the same time, i stand firm in saying that the Saints shouldnt even care that he is a free agent. He in no way would help this team. He brings nothing to the table that would justify us signing him. If the Saints are dead set in bringing in another WR, i say they go after Ernest Wilford. A big guy, good hands, not a lot of breakaway speed, and he still has something to prove. He is what Moose was 8 years ago.

It's all in the reflexes.
