SO, after Carney missed that short field goal...
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm playing devil's advocate here...but let's say that Payton lets Carney go now...and we fast forward to the playoffs and Hartley misses a 37 yarder to send the Saints home. Wouldn't that be deja vu all over again for Payton ...

Wouldn't that be deja vu all over again for Payton and put him in a rather unpleasant position. I mean, he has already admitted that letting Carney go the first time was a mistake.
