Re: A lil optimism and a lil reality for u guys
I guess this one would have to fall under, the "any given Monday" category.
I gotta tell you, I was madder than I've been in a very long time, after the game ended, and I was still at the bar. What sent me over the edge Sunday, was actually my own freaking brother! He lives in Birmingham, AL, and is a Steelers fan. Don't ask me how, because I still haven't figured that one out. Anyway, when I was walking, staggering, to my apartment door, I got a text, that read: "Welcome back to reallity. The Aint's won't win a superbowl this year, or any other year. You guys will always be losers." Words. Just words. But words I've heard for a long time, and not just from him. But he knows how I feel about the word "aint's". When I hear that, twenty three years of torture all come back at once for me, and it's like Bruce Banner, to the Incredible Hulk! Anyway, I just thought since you guys were sharing your experiences after the loss, I would jump in. |
