this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I've been a Saints fan for most of my 30 years on this earth but I think I'm just about done. I was stupid enough to get my hopes up again, but it's becoming more and more clear to me ...

Anybody else about ready to pack it in?
I've been a Saints fan for most of my 30 years on this earth but I think I'm just about done. I was stupid enough to get my hopes up again, but it's becoming more and more clear to me this is just the latest chapter in a long, long, LONG line of disappointments.
Call it a curse, destiny, fate, whatever you want. But nothing has ever changed, and nothing ever will. I'm not mad, I'm not really upset. I've just checked out emotionally. I am getting married in a couple months and moving to the Midwest, and I honestly think it'll be a relief to leave all of this behind me. It's just not healthy. Maybe I'm being a bad fan or whatever, but it's not worth my personal well-being to keep doing this to myself. I'll stick it out through the rest of this season but I'll be happy to move on to a Saints-less existence. I just can't do it anymore. Kudos to all you guys who choose to keep sticking it out. You're made of sterner stuff than I am. |

Nah...I'll be a lifer with the Saints. If it's one thing the Saints have taught me in +30 years is that nothing is a given. Bless you, Saints, you never fail to disappoint.

You are done with a 13-2 team but you stuck with them through the crap? We won't miss you.

I'm sticking with us until the final whistle of our last game - whenever that game might be.
