We've already played the Ravens and Jets defenses in the playoffs. Gregg Williams isn't going to figure out how to effectively pressure Manning and, more, Gregg Williams knows this.

The best way to play us is to keep everything underneath and make us drive the field by picking up 4 or 5 first downs. We can do that too, but it's alot easier to screw something up and sometimes Manning isn't patient enough to not take a deep shot even when it's not there.

If you're blitzing us, two things will happen:

1. 90% of the time you won't get to Manning anyway. If, by chance, someone misses a protection, Manning just lays down so you won't be getting these big hits anyway. Check our last 2 games. 3 times when protection was blown, Manning sees it and lays down before the defender even touches him.

2. There will be receivers open downfield.

Gregg Williams knows this. I think he's just blowing smoke to try to make the Colts plan for the wrong thing. I'm not sure it's an effective strategy but Manning calls everything at the line of scrimmage anyway so everything will be determined at that time no matter what they think is coming beforehand.
Not to start anything, but bro, you just said the exact same thing a few of the Vikings, and the Cards fans said in here, a few weeks ago. I agree that Manning is not Favre, or Warner, but he isn't the most "mobile" QB in the league either. He makes mistakes, just like everybody else. I like Manning, and I think he's a great QB, but he can be gotten too just the same.

And you guys are saying the exact same things we've heard from the Jets, the Ravens, and a few other more highly-ranked defenses that are better known for bringing pressure. You know how many of those teams have exploited Peyton and beaten us this year?

Also, you won't be playing at home. I think that's a HUGE factor that both sides need to factor in when projecting their defensive performance from the past 2 games. We've stuffed 2 pretty good running teams at home the past 2 weeks but I'm not foolish enough to project that against the Saints because we're not at home and you've got a QB to go with your running game to keep us honest.

I've picked the Saints to win, but it's because of your offense, and more specifically, being more balanced than we are. If Williams decides to try to blitz us, and I do believe this is a big IF because I don't believe that's what he really intends to do, I do believe we would win.

You know how the media keeps saying the Colts have only lost games they didn't want to win this year? Well the Saints only lost on the road once, and we played our backups for most of it. So we're OK with going on the road. Turf or grass.

That's right, psycho. We ONLY lost the one road game and it was a practice game for those that never get to play and an opportunity to try different plays to see how they might work. Even at that game, and I was there, our bench played well and the Saints were only beaten by 13 pts. I'm betting that the Saints will have the advantage at the "Away" game. Saints fan til I die!

I would like for Payton to show the team the total a$$-wiping that Peyton gave the Saints, I think it was on Monday night a few years back...they put up over half-a-hundred on us...if I remember it right. It wasn't pretty. Could be pretty inspirtational...or demoralizing. Nevermind.

It's irrelevant honestly. Not the same offense - we've added Shockey, PT, D. Thomas, Meach, and Henderson is a completely different receiver.

And our D is a completely different squad all together.

I know all that...but I was thinking it might be a favor we'd like to return...but I wouldn't want them to all the sudden have "the fear of God" when it comes to Peyton...so, that's why I said nevermind.

Re: Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning

I like the board over on NBC, where this story is posted. How all of these guys who "were on the Saints bandwagon, are now off, because we are dirty players." Are you serious? Most of them Vikings fans of course.

IF, any of those hits on Favre would have been considered malicious, then guess what, the refs would have thrown said player, out of the freaking game. I've seen it happen before, so obviously, they weren't considered that bad.

Some other guy rants on about how, he has always thought that refs calls in the superdome were "suspect". Suspect? Yeah, I guess all those 3-13 seasons we had, really showed the rest of the league, how the refs favor us at home huh?

One superbowl under our belts, almost, and now we are not only dirty players, with cheating coaches, but we also have the refs in our back pockets, when we play at home. Wow. There are some reaaaally stupid people watching football huh?

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

Oh yeah, and real quick from one of our Saints staticians, how many years, have the Saints been in the top five, of MOST PENALIZED TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE?
