Dwight Freeney, star defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts, may miss Super Bowl XLIV with serious ankle injury

Right, I realize they don't run the wildcat, but you don't need to do that to have an effective run game. The traditional offense that the Saints run may be true for their running game, but it's their passing game where I think is going to expose the weak secondary of the Colts. Mark Sanchez who for a rook didn't do bad either, but everyone knew he wasn't going to win the game for them. Their best running back got hurt, he was shredding the Colts D. I watched the Pats beating the Colts all game long and the Pats D was suspect then. Freeney is definitely a difference maker. His loss will be felt, that's just undeniable. Reggie Bush is definitely better than Addai and Brown, well, not there yet. It should be an aerial display of epic proportions, though, that's for sure.

The Colts were able to shut down the Cardinals earlier this season that have a very good passing attack and did so on their home field playing on a short week. I think Brees will have a good day and will put up around 28pts, the question is can the Saints keep the Colts under 28 points?

Colts-Az FS 31-10 won by 21
Saints-AZ FS 45-14 won by 31

I'd say they have as good as shot as any to put up that many points and more. The Cards were not the same team this year. Not a good comparison.

Saints game was in NO

That makes huge difference, PLUS the Colts were playing the Cards after playing the Dolphins on Monday night and then having to fly to Arizona for a Sunday night game. And we still wooped their butts.

Also remember the Cards destroyed the Vikings for which the Saints struggled to beat in teh NFCCG.

^ Yes, but the Saints destroyed the Pats where the Colts struggled against them to win by 1. Please, we could go on and on and at this point, it sounds to me like you're trying to talk yourself into believing the Colts greatness. Both teams are where they are because they deserve to be there. You will both be playing on neutral ground, so home turf won't mean a thing. They are both very good teams and the best team will end up on top. If it's the Colts, then so be it, they're the better team, but until then both teams have strengths and weaknesses, and yes, the Colts do have weaknesses and one of them will be if they are without Freeney.

Colts go 14-2 in regular season, of which the two losses came against our B team. We then beat the Ravens and Jets both whom touted the best and 2nd best Defense in the league. The Colts are great, they have proven that, lets see what the Saints offer?

if i remember corectly both the jets and the ravens are pretty much one dimentional. making it a lot easier to game plan. now your getting a candle that burns on both ends, that in itself will be fun to watch which one to worry about. then the jets toasted your db for a record long.

Losses are losses. This "oh we only lost because we wanted to" is crap. They're losses, they go on the records as losses, they are what they are, I don't care who is playing. Yes, you beat two 9-7 very overrated teams in the POs beating Sanchez and Flacco, yay for the Colts. I can almost guarantee they would have lost against the Chargers and Colts fans could be heard around the world breathing a sigh of relief. Heck, the Steelers beat the Ravens and this was one of our worst years ever. The Saints beat the 11-5 Cowboys and 14-2 or 13-3 (I can't remember) Vikings beating both Favre and Romo. A little more impressive in the scheme of things. The Colts are a good team with a great QB. That is what they are, everywhere but Indy of course.
