However, beginning to think that all this is a deep draft the Redskins should be considered as a potential trade partner to grab an impact player by moving Jamaal Brown to swap No. 1's and pick up an additonal R3 pick...
Not sold on the swapping #1 picks part ... maybe if they give us a number one...thusly we have two number one's.

There's no way they trade a top five pick straight up for J Brown; that's why I said we'd have to swap picks and pick up their R3 pick (maybe R2 pick)...

Re: 2010 NFL Draft

theres no way we give up brown and a #1 to move up 10 or so spots to pick a player who may not be worth it

we know brown is worth a #1.......thats been proven by his pro bowl status

we also know with him in the lineup we allow the least amount of sacks in the league.....we dont have a LT if we get rid of brown.....

there is no reason to trade brown at all.....we just dont have the kind of depth to do something that stupid

I think there is one Mr. Bushrod that would say...

[2009 - vs. Detroit (9/13): Inactive while recovering from sports hernia and hip surgeries. at Philadelphia (9/20): Inactive with the hip injury. at Buffalo (9/27): Inactive with the hip injury. Placed on injured reserve, 9/29
...and we only won a SB without him!

that argument is weak........we won a super bowl because of bushrod? no

in fact......bushrod gave up a sack to an injured dwight freeney who couldnt even walk right, let alone rush an edge correctly

we went from the least sacked team in the league when we threw more than any other team, to 22 sacks on a team that threw the ball only the 10th most

that is a significant increase and yes, id rather have a 5 yard penalty due to false start in one game than have drew get hit twice in that same game

we may only have a RT playing LT, but that LT is a pro bowler....hes a proven run blocker.....hes one of the 10 best LTs in the league.....and he protects the most valuable player in the league

are you willing to rest drews health in the hands of bushrod? im not and drafting a tackle is always risky

you want us to waste our first round pick this year on a LT? then what? trade up and pick a DT or LB? then we are out of picks

its stupid to waste a pick on a LT when we have a proven LT and have much much much more pressing needs

in fact.......id venture to say that we are completely set at QB, G, and T......but everything else could be considered a solid draft pick

not because of Bushrod..."despite" not having a Probowler at LT...

with committments to Stinchcomb, Evans, and the contract extenstion of Nicks coming up, Saints can't afford Brown at LT...

please read the entire argument...

No, my argument is quite simple. We won a superbowl with a team that did not include Brown. How good do you want this team to be? Does money, age, and health ever become a factor?

i read the entire argument....i commented on the part that i wanted to comment on

brown is worthy of whatever contract he wants.....bushrod proved that for him this season......monetarily we may not be able to afford brown.....but talent wise we cant afford to lose brown

i want this team to be great for a long time.....getting rid of a pro bowl tackle does not make us better and you cant deny that

there isnt a single thing you could say that would make bushrod better than brown....not money, not talent, not wins......we didnt win because of bushrod...in fact.....we didnt go undefeated because of bushrod

do you really think brown would've let demarcus ware beat us? lmao

bushrod had nothing to do with our success.....in fact, our offense was hindered by bushrod.....constantly having to slide protection to that side.....constantly having to stack that side of the line so that bushrod didnt look silly out there

what part of brown is an elite tackle dont you understand?

***Newsflash***

Jammal Brown Out for Season...Saints Win Superbowl

Saints didn't have him all season and yet still had depth and adequate play...

Look, he's about to become a FA and we can't afford to tie up that much money in a natural RT playing LT...

which is why you trade 'em and get either a younger, elite LT in R1 or pick up one in the draft or FA with a more acceptable contract...

and are you going to sign Brown, an older injured player, tying up funds that you'll need to retain someone like Carl Nicks?

and Drew Brees has shown that the quarterback is as important to a low sack total statistic as the Left Tackle (Right-handed Quarterback)...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
