Re: Remember when?

Well............I have to say I'm just disappointed in Peyton. He's been a winner so long that when he loses, he has no idea how to handle it. He needs to learn the art of "graceful losing." I do remember an interview with him regarding his Super Bowl that he won with Brady. How he said he sat on the sideline and prayed, "Lord, it's not fair! He already has a ring! Let us win this one!" Well...................if that's your way of thinking, then didn't he owe this one to Brees?

367963. Manning cut off from shaking hands
by choppatoolis, 2/12/10 17:28 ET
Ok, we've all seen these pictures. Check out the one with Manning walking off the field. One of the excuses I've heard for Manning not shaking hands is that he tried to but was cut off by the crowd. Now, in this picture of Manning walking off the field, look at the field and the direction he's headed. Something just doesn't fit.

Look if you don't have no class you can kiss my big fat white a$$. We won and they can get over it. After the 1st quarter the games was ours and Williams is worth every penny Payton can give him.

But when you think about classless; remember a few years ago when we were hosting the manning led colts in the Dome? The game was so lopsided that we actually stood and gave our Saints a standing ovation when we FINALLY made a first down, midway through the 2nd quarter. Later, up 31-3 with just a few seconds left in the 1st half and slightly out of field goal range, peyton called that trick play where he took the snap and acted like the play had been blown dead and started walking to the sideline with the football. Fortunately, we didn't fall for it but at the same time, our defensive players were afraid to hit peyton, fearing a penalty which would have put the colts in field goal range so they just kinda walked out with him but not harassing him. All of a sudden, marvin harrison breaks deep and peyton throws a bomb scoring a touchdown. Fortunately, the referees showed pity on us and claimed they had blown the play dead. A trick play, up 31-3. real class. It was before Katrina but I remember it like it was yesterday. To me, that made the interception he threw this time all the more sweet.
Anyone got a video of that?

The play-by-play may have it, but I doubt it'll be in the highlights. Manning looked really stupid, and he was so good at emoting, the ref actually whistled the play dead.

The play doesn't appear in the play-by-play log because it was whistled dead and therefore, never happened. I don't remember exactly how the referree handled the fact that the ball was snapped but there was no play.
