this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Let him play! Give him at least another year to shine. He did fairly decent this year, despite being banged up....

Re: Free Agent Series: What should the Saints offer Courtney Roby?
I agree wholeheartedly. He normally gives us good field position on kick returns and is a legitimate threat to take it to the house. He is also a valuable asset on punt coverage. There were numerous times during the season when Morstead punted the ball inside the 10 or even the 5 yard line and Roby was there to down the punt, and he is one of the best tacklers on the team in the return game. He's one of the most valuable players on special teams. That's just the thing. It's special teams. He's not going to be signed to a high dollar contract, because he doesn't see the field much at receiver. Give him a one or two year deal.

He is one of the biggest positives for special teams. He and Morstead are keepers. |

Pay the man. He has been working for very little money and has earned a pay raise. He is definately worth a 2-4 year contract with good incentives. We don't need to let our key pieces walk away.
