Re: New OT Rule

They call ties "sister kissers" for a reason. Ties are awful. I don't want to watch a sports matchup without a winner and loser. Why play the game? What does a tie establish? A tie is vanilla. No real outcome. Athletics looks for a winner and a loser, not a tie-er.

College OT stinks. They change the rules of the game during OT .

Re: New OT Rule

Let's see you're on your own 10 the QB drops back and heaves it to the opponents 20 and there is interference. Reward the defense twice, once for stopping the pass and second for being penalized only 15 yards. I like the NFL rule better.

Re: New OT Rule

Both teams do not have to touch the ball if the rule changes. Remember the second half on side kick? What happens then? Only one team had the ball. That's not FAIR? FAIR!!!? FAIR!!!? the WR runs a 4.3 and the CB a 4.5 that's not FAIR. Put extra weight on the faster guys so they all run the same speed. And on and on and on and on...........................

Take the high road.. accept you were wrong and move on.

I don't agree with everything Jones says, then again:
1) he's part of the competition committee
2) he deals with TV networks' execs and puts his signature on the deals made between the NFL and the TV networks
3) he's a much more successful man than you and I combined, so we should probably agree with what he says more often.
