Re: Grade our draft
Our foundation is still strong. We just need new doors and windows or a re-do of the kitchen: new cabinets and countertop. I think it will be difficult to match the way the ball bounced for us last season. We will have lots of new talent to go along with our returning and improving veterens. Should be another exciting run for the gold. Once again, our season will depend on how the defense is able to help us, on the few occasions that our offense is not hitting on all cylinders.

Re: Grade our draft
Good draft, especially in the later rounds. I still don't like the TE pick due to his minimal playing experience and the Saints defensive needs but I'd give the Saints a B.
Thing is, the Saints have scouts and a lot of people working together when drafting and the organization knows their needs much better than any of us do. Admittedly, some of the picks that were made last week bugged me but after consideration and a little research I see the reasons for those picks. I'm willing to eat crow if the TE turns out to be all world in the future. |

Brown only has 2 years starting on the line, Graham has 1 year of college ball, Woods is a 1 year starter without much production from a stats view, Robinson only had 7 picks in 2.5 years starting and showed inconsistency.
I think if all picks live up to their potential 100%, you have a high level man to man corner, bookend left tackle, the next Antonio Gates, a starting DT and starting C. If that happens, A+, but Ill go with B right after. |

I don't see how anyone can argue that Moorestead was not a great pick.He helped us win games last year.

Re: Grade our draft
probably not.I think Moorestead was worth it though.I just don't think those two picks really cost us anything.

There is a bit of satisfaction that the 5th we gave up ended up being the last pick in that round. That was a bonus that cushions the blow quite a bit. I also take issue with those that say since we won the Superbowl, no decision should be questioned, and then they question numerous other decisions this team makes. |

Re: Grade our draft
I love how most of these threads go from innocent football discussions to verbal sucker punches. *sarcasm*
I gave the team a B. I think we neglected to fill the holes in our defense. I'm not doubting the ability of the FO, I just think we should have gone after more defensive players. On another note, NFL Network did their "grading" of our division. They gave us a D+. Bucs got a B, Falcons got a C and Panthers got a D+. |

Probably because they drafted a Punter in the 6th with one of their NINE picks. |
