Drew may have a lot on his mind, but its not just Drew. Last year receivers didn't allow DB's to step in front for picks. They fought for the ball and forced their will on opponents. They got the tip, the bounce, and the take-away. Just looks like a rebalancing of the cosmos to some sort of equalibrium. Last year Drew overthrows for a pick, and Devery robs the DB at gunpoint and runs it in for a TD. Last year that "throw to the back shoulder" crap worked because the DB just wasn't looking. This year we cause a fumble and their guy scoops it up and runs it in. Last year we won 3 games because of missed chip shots by our opponents, this year we've already lost 2 on so-called missed chip shots. I think LSU is using up all the MOJO.

um ... everyone is aware that ALL our starting running backs are injured ... right? We have no running game and everyone is playing the pass. Let's wait for Bush and Thomas to return before we start thinking Drew has lost it.

Now, there is nothing more important in my life than my kids...nothing.
With that said, If I'm making $650,000 per game, and I know it could be gone at any time, during any game, I think I'm giving 100% of myself every game, even if my wife is sitting at home pregnant. First of all, there is nothing I can do to help the prganancy go better or smoother for her. Drew Brees needs to get his head in the game and off that baby, off the interviews, and off all the other distractions, especially if the alternative is sitting at home listening to his wife moan and groan about being pregnant and hollering "YOU DID THIS TO ME!!" all day. Just a thought. |

I'm with you Sarg. The best thing Drew could do is be able to tell baby girl how he torched some team for 400 the day she was born. I perform on my job for my family. Its more than Drew's home concerns. Routes aren't crisp, balls are being dropped, adjustments aren't being made, protection is breaking down, running game is lacking, turnovers, penalties at the most inopportune times ...I think I'll just stop.

I don't think his wife has anything to do with it. What number does she wear anyway? The players and coaches have to do a better job of preparing, executing, and eliminatiing mistakes
