I wouldn't have been surprised if it wasn't already discussed internally in bits and pieces the year before. Everyone knew what he contract was going to be and we're a very well ran organization. Payton was a big say in personnel decisions and people were only fooling themselves into thinking he was really going to come back. If he was an absolute necessity for our offense, you bet we wouldn't have traded him over a mil or mil and half. They were well prepared... it's far from a shocking move.

If we had not won the Super Bowl, I think Reggie would have been gone last year.

I'll miss Reggie. We forget he helped to save the Saints & keep them in New Orleans. He scored a lot of touchdowns, and kept us on the highlight reel.

I'm sad to see Reggie go ONLY because I wanted to see him realize his potential in black & gold. I wish him luck in Miami.

Now I've stated this numerous times with little reaction - Reggie's knees are not healthy. He was scoped in the offseason and let's just say that there's a reason he only signed a two year deal.

Like the Drew Brees signing, we'll get the best of this deal.

haaa! you know thats right.
Case got me an awesome "Hebert" last year. I think I wore it to Bruz's mudbugs II party. You'll see it at Reliant.

btw, check the Houston thread. I'm gonna start planning for the tailgate now.

Hate to see him go, we could have finally used him in a role suited for him. But one headache gone on the otherhand, and not in the division
