The last time RB Reggie Bush played in Miami, he won a Super Bowl. The Dolphins hope he can provide a similar impact for their franchise.RB Reggie Bush had 63 yards from scrimmage in the Saints' Super Bowl XLIV victory.

The Saints have agreed to trade the No. 2 pick of the 2006 draft to the Dolphins, pending Bush's agreement to a renegotiated contract with Miami. He is scheduled to make $11.8 million in the final season of his rookie deal, a very hefty payout considering his propensity for injury and the fact he's not an every-down back.

FOXSports' Jay Glazer first broke the potential Bush deal early Thursday morning.

Why would he sign a new contract to be traded? Why not just force the Saints to cut him by refusing to restructure? Anyhow what do you think we get? Ill be shocked if we get anything more than a 4th.

A 4th would be unbelievable. I wouldn't mind a LB or Safety for that matter.

What's best is he's out of the division and conference.

Agree. I wasn't expecting anything more than a trivial token, if anything. Actually I assumed he'd be released or signed at less.

I am not sure this hurts that much. How much does it save us under the cap?

For those of you wondering when we might know when and if running back Reggie Bush will become a member of the Miami Dolphins, here’s what we’ve learned in the wake of Jay Glazer’s report that the Saints and Dolphins have worked out the basic trade terms.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the talks between the Dolphins and Bush’s camp heated up around midnight. They are expected to continue into Thursday morning.

At this point, it’s not known with certainty that an agreement will be reached. Though Bush could decide to stay with the Saints at a reduced salary, the signs currently are pointing the Bush doing a deal with the Dolphins.

In Miami, there’s a good chance he could be the featured back. Though he may have to share touches, he’d quite possibly be at the top of the depth chart.

Saints, Dolphins agree to terms on Reggie Bush trade
http://profootballta...gie-bush-trade/

For the second time in two days, a deal has been worked out for a high-profile player. And, for the second time in two days, the trade now hinges on the player working out an acceptable deal with his new team.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the Saints have agreed to the terms of a trade that would send running back Reggie Bush to the Dolphins.

The deal hinges on the Dolphins working out an acceptable contract with Bush. Due to earn a base salary of $11.8 million in 2011, Bush will have to take a pay cut. (Of course, if he agrees to a long-term deal with the Dolphins, he could actually pocket $11.8 million in salary and bonuses in 2011, or more.)

There’s also a chance that Bush will stay put in New Orleans, if he agrees to accept a reduced rate of pay.

The move makes plenty of sense for the Saints, who would have had no choice but to cut Bush ASAP. If he tears an ACL or busts an Achilles’ tendon in training camp, New Orleans will owe him the full $11.8 million.

Also, by trading him the Saints will be able to ensure that he ended up out of their division — and out of their conference.

In the end, Bush’s place of employment for 2011 will come down to whether he wants to stay with the Saints or move on. Lately, he has been saying all the right things about New Orleans. His chance to prove that he means it has now arrived.
